The person claimed to be from my broadband company but didn't, say which broadband company technical services. Wanting to help me with corrupt files on my computer. Told him I had been away for two months and not used my broadband. I also said I had no problems with my computer. Then he put the phone down.

Indian lady claiming to be from my computer/telephone/broadband support. Wanted to know about the problems SHE claimed I was having with my internet. When I challenged her for the name of my broadband supplier she got stroppy, so told her where to go and hung up on her, total scammers!!

Had a phone call a liitle while ago from this number

Indian bloke saying he was Thomas from Broadband Technical,Before he could continue I asked him what company,Broadband Technical he replied.
So before he could carry on I said "You're going to tell me the's a virus on my laptop but you can fix it by allowing you to install remote software on my PC" at which point he started to get verbal & said "How can I tell him what he's going to do before he's explained why he's calling me".
At which point I told him it's a well known scam! -

I was chatting to a local friend on the phone. An hour later I received a call from this number in India saying they were 'international broadband support'. I challenged him as I knew it was a scam and he hung up. I have found out from my friend that they also rang her 10 mins after me, and he hung up too...it's freaked us both out as how did they get our numbers? We are both ex-directory and tps registered...

It is a scammer from India who claims he represents your broadband provider, on questioning he said they are tech support of BT, Virgin, Sky, Talk Talk.
He tries to get you to install software on your pc that will let him access it remotely. -

Told me they were from BT, I was sceptical , as they wanted to talk about Broadbsnd speed ( after enquiring about my health!) I asked the 'lady' why she was scamming me , she then swore at me on several occasions then hung up!
