This gentleman phoned up and enquired about the warranty on my television set, he asked me many questions and I asked him I needed to go over the details with my dear wife.

Told me my warranty had expired on my TV. The TV we have was very old and had been my late father's tv so there would be no record of it being here. She argued that it could not be too old to have a warranty. I told her this phone call was going no where and hung up. This was fishing I DON'T TRUST THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS.

English sounding woman called, telling me the insurance was due for renewal on my Toshiba TV. I have never in my life taken out insurance on any domestic appliance!!! Insurance is a rip-off. Told her so.
"Oh, but what if it goes wrong?" she says.
"Then I go buy a new one!! TVs are cheap these days. Bye"
Hung up with a grin. Blocked the number with my free talktalk number blocking service. -

I had a call from a company doing a survey asking what make of TV, washing machine etc I owned.
The very next day I started getting bombarded with calls from this number telling me what make of electrical equipment I owned and telling me I owed them for a warranty on it.

Trying to sell a "product plan" or something like that on our TV which is probably about 10 years old. Said he'd got the number from a telephone/online survey I had completed, which seems unlikely given I never give information like that out. Rang multiple times per day from an automated service, which hung up every time until I called them back and told them I was on the TPS.

Gina called (from somewhere I forget, I dont want to return the call) asking me if I would like to renew my washing machine. I had to laugh, my washing machine is second hand and is on its way out. If she wanted to really offer an extended warranty then it would be doing me a favour! lol.
Could be that they got the phone numbers mixed up. But when i told her my name she still wanted to continue the call. Trustworthy or not, I didn't wait around long enough to find out. -

A very fast speaking young man called me with the 02036420134 and offered me an extended warranty for my dishwasher. I asked him once where he had my number and he said that I have used to purchase the machine. Since I was not so sure if that could not be, I listened to his offer. But in the end he immediately wanted a "yes" from me. When I insisted that I want to get everything in writing, he said "Yes you will, but they have been satisfied." That was me too sensitive. This can not be serious even if you want to have a written undertaking directly on the phone without doing anything.
