Thus number called saying I owed 3,000 to the IRS. They sent me a letter, which I never got. They demanded I pay them by getting a Federal Voucher to pay them. If I didn't I would go to jail. It didn't sound real to me but I was still scared. They told me not to tell anyone or I would go to jail and get them in trouble. I was smart enough to text my daughter. She looked up the real IRS number and I hung up on them.

Lawyer from IRS stating I owed $12,000 and I had to pay in the next 24 hrs. Instructed me not to notify anyone or they would send the police to arrest me and freeze all my accounts. Sent me to the bank. I told him I only had a certain amount and he said. "OK just go to the baño and siter deposit the money in this acct And we will do a payment plan for the next 7 months". I managed to call 2 CPA and both instructed me to hang up. Fraudulent call. Scary though. Be carefull. IRS does not work like that.

I received numerous calls from this number or numbers similar to it. Received a voicemail today, :This is the final notice from the IRS Internal Revenue Service, There is a legal lawsuit has been filed against your name so if you need more information give us a call back on our department number 202-239-2853." The recorded voice is robotic. I called the number back there was no answer - it rang several times. An answering machine answered - stating no one was available to answer but please call back later when they could answer. A robotic voice on machine. Reporting to FTC.
