Got a call from this number from a guy with a thick accent, not sure Indian or Pakistani. Straight away started asking for my lawyer information as I was being taken to court by the IRS. I knew it was a scam since I had a similar phone calls earlier in the year, so I got very aggressive with the person. Told him I had not received any paperwork for back taxes owed so unless if I get something in the mail, I will not entertain calls from them any further and if they wanted to involve law enforcement, they can go right ahead. The guy started reciting the address I lived at, three years back and kept saying "how can possible you not receive mail?" He then recited my email address and said he can email me all the documents. I told him not to send anything in the email, unless if its on official IRS letterhead, in the snail mail, I don't want to hear about it. He gets angry at this point and tells me I will have the police at my door steps the following morning, right before he hangs up.

A man with heavy Indian accent from a bad connection kept harassing my parents' phone saying he's with the IRS and that it's urgent that I call him at 202-506-9461 x419061. Seemed completely bogus since I haven't lived with my parents or used my parents' phone number in well over a decade. A few months ago, another similar scam call reached my parents, but I forget if it was a different number. It seems related as if they're the same scammers or using the same database of US numbers.

after finding out of this is a poorly executed scam I have been calling them nonstop driving them crazy from a blocked phone number I finally got them to answer the phonewhere they just yell what do you want. U laugh hang up they getting very angry and I'm loving it

I just had the same experience. Received a VM from a man with a very heavy accent who called himself John Davis. He was asking me to get an attorney and to call 202-506-9461 regarding litigation. When I called back, the very snarky, barely understandable woman I spoke to said that I was being sued for over $6k because I'd ignored the two registered letters they'd sent from the IRS. When I asked how I can get a copy of the letters so I can show an attorney, she replied that I would see them when the Sheriff arrests me tonight She said that I was being sued for over $6k in unfiled taxes from '07 - '12. When I began to seriously question her, she hung up on me.
I have to say, this scared the hell out of me for a minute and I still have no idea what they are after - they never asked for money or an SS number, etc. -

Called stating there was a problem with my income tax. Heavy Indian accent and was unclear with other information.
Amusing part: they called on Saturday...right after the 4th of July. It's quite stupid to try this on a weekend. Don't trust these people. -

Scam. These scammers often call you. But when the IRS contacts people about unpaid taxes, they do it by postal mail, not by phone and they use generic names. DO not trust them!!

Same type of call as above posts...they call to harass you for some litigation. Please file a report on IRS website...if all the above post will file the complaint IRS i am hoping will investigate
