Called left message that they were officer Cabot Williams from the State Police. That there is an arrest warrant for my arrest. I needed to call the Attorney Generals office and speak with an Attorney at this number to prevent arrest.
What State Police?
Why would I call the Attorney Generals office to speak to an Attorney?
Why would I call an Attorney in DC if I live in CT?

called and said they were from attorney generals office and that I would be arrested in 45 minutes if I didnt pay them for a payday loan that I never took out.lol and by the way they were foreign could barely understant them.

They called a friend that has one of my phones saying they were sending a warrent for my arrest to the nearest police station and they would be doing 6 months lol

Received a "final call" on my home phone today Feb.24, 2015. The bad news is...several came n my cell phone earlier this year. My daughter called them and was told their mailbox was full...and that voice had been a woman claiming to be a lawyer.

Just called me. Identified themselves as IRS saying they are suing me... Hung up and called them back. They identified themselves as IRS. I questioned the person saying IRS always sends mail - they don't call. I kept questioning the person and they finally hung up. This is SCAM from the get go.

Same call as Duncan reported but from a different number: 202-657-5061. Scary stuff and if someone reacted before they stopped to think about the particulars and realized it was a scam, it could really send them into a tailspin, especially when the woman suggested having an attorney call. I can only assume that most people are too afraid to get lawyers involved and return the call themselves, so it's worth the trouble for these scammers. First clue though, they don't use your name, just keep reiterating that "you" will be in trouble if the call is not returned. I know everyone needs a job, but these people should know, Karma's a [***].

CALLED TO SAY THAT THEY WERE THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICEFILING A LAWSUITE AGAINST ME AND THAT I NEEDED TO CALL THEM BACK RIGHT AWAY. THIS OF COURSE IS DURING TAX TIME.
