212 662-1295 New York (Call on my landline on Wednesday 7-16-14) is a spoofed telephone number....phishing. Your phone number….given out to businesses (car dealers), hospitals, emergency rooms, doctors and pharmacies (especially mail order pharmacies will be sold with your information….your name….your age….your diagnoses). Senior citizens are being targeted.
Don't bother contacting the DNC....they just take and sell your data to the scam artists.
pete replied 7/21/14, 9:29 PMWe need to report every call to the FTC and more important call your Congressman and tell him or her that the DNC is not been enforced by the FTC. Ask the congressman to introduce oversight over the FTC and hold them accountable. After all, our tax dollars are paying the FTC salary. We need to get our moneys worth.
If the people on the FTC can not do or do not have the knowledge to find the violators,they need to be replaced. -

We constantly get calls offering a "personal medical alert," even though we have several times pressed 9 (as the caller suggests) to stop getting more calls.
We now use our answering machine to filter calls: We do not pick up unless the callers state their names; if we do not know them, we do not pick up; if they give no name, we do not pick up either. By now all our friends, family, and others who have legitimate business with us know that they must state their names.
