Don't make light of this call - they have ALL of your information. She called my old place of business and left a message. I called and when I challenged her she became incoherently aggressive, yelling and threatening me and demanding money. What is a worry is that she has my entire SS#, they have my date of birth, my current address, and old banking info. I called my county sheriff who is, according to her, on their way to my door to arrest me. The sheriff's department and I had a good laugh at that, but we also filed a complaint against this "company" and number. I called Social Security to have my account flagged, they also referred me to the FTC (877-438-4338), I called and filed a complaint. I called my current bank. I am in the process of calling all three credit bureaus to flag my account. I am signing up for a credit protection account, so this scam is also costing me money. So far this has taken two hours out of my workday to handle this. It's probably worthwhile to call them back so that you can tell the agencies how much money they are trying to get from you. For me it was $800.00, which makes it a bigger crime.
