Have had the same experience! Only that it was an Amanda and I thought that I knew her. When I asked her, she said yes and that I should call her at the number. Only problem is, the Amanda that I know and I weren't really close friends - especially not telephone buddies, so I decided to google the number and look where it got me...

It's the same as Carlo wrote - I got a friend request, according to facebook we shared some friends (even though that turned out to be more of the friends of a friend kind of thing), so I added her. She then sent me a message, saying I should call her at this number as well. Really weird.

There was a Jennifer Layden trying to contact me on facebook. Apparently, we had one shared friend and so I added her. When I saw who we had in common as friends, I asked him about her (since I wanted to know how I was supposed to know this "Jennifer"). Anyway, he told me that he DIDN'T know her and that she asked him to call her at this number. What do you know, just a few hours later the same thing happens to me. We both unfriended her - this seems like some kind of scam!
Canberra replied 9/3/13, 11:08 AMIt was a Jennifer contacting me as well! She went by a different last name, but the story was completely the same. There is obviously something very wrong going on! I wouldn't trust it!Oreo replied 9/4/13, 3:35 AMIt actually was a Nicole who contacted me, but other than that it was the same! Seems like this is not only number they're using.
