He called my mobile phone (I live in Australia) and my phone detected the telemarketer lives in Huanuco, PERU!
He asked if I have been in an accident in the last 2 years, and I said no. Then he said if anyone else in my family has been, and I said no, we don't even have cars and not risktakers.
Weird thing was, he was lovely on the phone. I have had him call my home phone before but he was vulgar and rude!
Maybe it was a different man... Hmm.. -

They claimed to be from Telstra head office and that our phone line would be disconnected. The reason varied from downloading stuff to sending out spam. The period of disconnection increased from one month to six months to a year over the course of the conversation. The woman got sick of me, so I was passed on to a person who was first called himself her supervisor, then the technical manager at Telstra and then the head of IT. In a very similar fashion to the Microsoft scam, they did not respond to logical questions, like which computer, or which IP address, and continued on in exactly the same style until they started to ask me to alter stuff in the computer and I got bored, asked them if they had finished their employment with Microsoft and hung up. They called again today and I got cross and asked them to take me off their list, at which point they hung up... hopefully not to be heard from again, though I doubt that somehow!!

Starts the call by giving his name, polite, etc. This is the third call I've had about my "Windows" computer this week. We do not have PCs in my household, and so I asked him to tell me what he was talking about. He responded with an aggressively offensive onslaught of vulgar and profane statements and finally hung up.

Just another PC repair scam(A poorly derived scam at that) relies on the victim to know little or nothing about their pc to get you to pay money through credit card or bank.
India(n) fake PC "windows" scam NO company calls you about error reports.
Microsoft does not contact you about errors nor do they have any third party company contact you.
A scam in which they will deny if you call them out on it, oh and it is a scam as it is theft by deception. He got mad because we was onto him and he curses and whines :P

Same thing with different words. Some Indian-accented woman who claimed to be a computer technician said that there had been some adware on her computer that needed to be erased. Just hung up on her.

The call was made yesterday evening around 8pm. The caller says that my computer when I'm on the Internet, sending error messages, because he was infected. I asked which computer and which IP address, but since put the caller on. It should be here probably be a number of other Microsoft scams.

Reporting this to NoMoRobo and to Youmail to blacklist this number due to excessive Robo calls initiated from Call Center reported on multiple web sites tracking ABUSE. Their automated greeting is so bizarre it has been recorded at http://whocalld.com/+15162066815 as it sounds like they are attempting to put you into a trance into The Twilight Zone ... it might classify for some poor entertainment value for Walt Disney's "Imagination"!

RoboCall Telemarketer Carrier: Voxbeam Telecommunications Inc. Landline. I did *67 to block my VOIP number to call back & had an automated attendant indicate "Please wait and I will attempt to patch you into our on call Engineer ... it then plays some poor entertainment value music that makes an attempt to put you in a trance into The Twilight Zone of Imagination". Then after several more than a several minutes of hold time I was automatically disconnected. For those with Android devices your so much better off in being able to prevent repeat calls. For those with iPhone I recommend using FREE app YouMail to ditch calls. For calls made to Landline, I subscribe to http://nomorobo.com/ The call rang once and the free service endorsed by FTC 2013 award prevented the illegal telemarketing call from being answered by me or by voice mail as a hang-up. Call centers invoice the carriers through monthly tariffs for connecting calls either answered by your voice mail or a human being ... Reason why majority of calls are hang-ups!
