The do not call list can be accessed by call centers.

My calls increased about 3 months after I put my number on the list. I read on another site about the sale of info on the DNC list. It said after removing your number it would take a while for your number to stop appearing on every list...But your calls will decrease....

This number just started dialing my cell phone. It claims to be from Ontario. I won't answer. I have listed my phone on the national do not call list but it doesn't seem to help.

I have received dozens of calls from the above number. They never leave a message and I do not answer it (I have call display). They call sometimes twice a day and have been calling for weeks on end now. I am on the Do Not Call List for Canadian residents and find this so annoying.

DNC list is the Do Not Call List. If you put your number on that your calls from Call Centers and scam callers will increase 10 fold in 3 months. These lists of numbers are sold to companies and distributed between call centers..
