   wow, i thought i was onto something - little did i know that i'm not the only one to receive these messages. it's pretty much the same as everyone else, the name seems to change but the messages are all the same: call this number. yeah, right...

   got a friend request by some girl named amanda. incidentally, i do know someone by that name and figured that this was her, so i added her. she wrote a message a few hours later thanking me for adding her and asking me some random questions, but before i could answer, she said she had to go and that i should call her at this number. i thought it was a little weird and looked for the number online. guess it's good I've done my research!

   I recently got a friend request on Facebook by a Jessica Tisch. I didn't think much of it, so I added her. A few hours later, she wrote to thank me for adding her and blablabla but she had to log off and said I should give her a call under this number. It seemed odd to me - who gives out their number to strangers like that? So I did a little research and apparently this is some kind of ongoing scam on facebook. I just wonder what they are trying to accomplish by it?

   I'd really like to know that, too. i got a request by nicole and it's pretty much the same story with changed names. it's pretty obivious that they are trying to scam people but i'd really like to know what happens if you do call. - but i'm sure it's a trap.

   same thing as Harry and stan! can't believe how transparent they are - it's so obviously a scam, i mean who in their right mind would call?!

   I'm starting to question whether the benefits are worth all the downsides to facebook. i mean the constant spamming and i hardly believe this is the only or even the first attempt to scam other people on facebook.
   
   but then i guess you're never really safe from scammers - they're on the phone, using email and facebook... they are everywhere!
