Ipsos Reid is a legit survey company. Info gathered in surveys is used to create products, marketing campaigns, and sometimes public policy. It is usually university students or other part time workers just doing their job and they aren't selling anything. Nevertheless, as I have a pay-per-call cell phone, I don't want them to keep calling. You can answer and ask (politely) to be taken off the list. Or you can do the survey and have your opinion counted. The lists are randomly generated numbers with "seeds" (like 778) of the area codes they want.

First a woman called said it was a survey, i hung up, then the next day 2 more calls i answered at 830pm, i said howd you get my number mother fucker he said im doin a survey, then i snapped, said alot of foul stuff to him then told him to take my name off his list. We will c what happens.

He said they were doing a survey and had a couple questions. The first was if I was 19 years or older.
I said, "Yes. What is this survey for or about?!"
He ignored the question, slightly stuttered and said, "Are you a smoker or non-smoker?"
I said "....Ummm... Non-smoker..."
He said, "Ok that's it thanks bye!" and hung up.

This number calls me at the same time everyday and never leaves a message. Definitely IPSOS Reid... as I called the number back. Machine says they are an outbound call center and not equipped to receive calls. Left a message to piss off.. we'll see what happens. Will probably follow up with repeated phone calls to presidents number as listed above.

Called to ask if owner of phone was btwn 19-28 yo. Then asked if anyone using phone was a smoker. I said no so that was then end of the survey, however, had I said yes, there would have been more questions.
I asked how they got my number and she said it was randomly generated. -

I'm tired of these people calling me and others like them. If by chance their motive are nefarious why would any of us give up any personal or other information. If they are on the level and collecting information for their client they would obviously be paid for this data. That being the case they should be paying us for the information supplied and for our time.

Appears to be survey company trying to spoof call from 778 prefix instead of from 800 number. polling company with zero credibility because their survey results are only ever based on the one in one hundred people dumb enough to actually answer their calls and take their survey.

This number 778-373-5011 called our number 3 times today . We do not answer unknown callers and this caller did not leave any messages. We are on the Do Not Call List but being on this list only seems to increase the unwanted callers. What can be done? I rate this number totally untrustworthy.
