   My phone number is a local 919 one, but it is a voicemail that only a handful of people could ever have and which I don't check.
   
   I didn't answer when they called in February of 2014, and they left no message.
   
   My best guess is that they random-dialed my number, or that they pulled it off of a non-digital public record at the county courthouse.

   I have skype to where I bought an online number so if i am ever out of town my family can call me via skype over their phone and it will still be like a local call for them rather then long distance. I received a phone call from this number thinking it was a member of the family since they are from the 919 area code area but ended out being this stupid scammer. how the hell did they get my private skype phone number that only my family knows?

   i had the same problem like "berater". but this time they at least dont pretend to be from the fbi (: but they also offered me a security system. maybe to break into my house when im not at home (:
