called me on 5/2025 claiming to be law enforcement saying that i did not show up for jury duty and was in contempt of court and would be arrested. became frustrated when i asked for clarification. they asked me to send money to pay some kind of bond. very aggressive phone call and told me my parents were going to be arrested

Investigator Sarah reported Imposters scam with the number +12292129383 as Cost trap
I received a call at 1pm on May 7, 2025 from 2292129383 claiming to be a lieutenant John Collins from the Alamance County Sheriff's office. He stated I have 2 active warrants for failure to appear at federal jury duty. He said I can remedy the issue and avoid being arrested if I 1)turn myself in to the sheriff's office, get detained for 24-72 hours on felony charges or 2) send money for a collateral hold and assurance bond either through a website link or at a big box store.
