I got a call from this californian number. As I don't have any connections in California or USA, I've rejected the call. Imediatly after I've got 2 SMS from a mumber in England with security codes for my Microsoft account. I opened my Microsoft account and all was well, never got to use those codes. Very odd!

Received a call from this number when microsoft tried to send me a code to unlock my hotmail account. When i answered i didn't hear nothing so they sent me the code via sms from another number. Im pretty sure that microsoft contacted me even if i didn't hear the code. However many other services uses this number to contact their users not only Microsoft.

Jon reported Microsoft with the number +17148680120 as Trustworthy number
As of 6-28-14 this number is legit. It was used by Microsoft's Security Division to call me with a numeric "code" to unlock my Hotmail account that was locked due to inactivity. The code was presented by an electronic voice. Because Google is referenced at this number as using it to provide access codes as well, it may be a verification service company contracted to MS and Google (and likely others) to do "best practice" verification and provide codes for them. Unwanted calls may be the result of hackers trying to gain access to accounts or maybe a thick fingered number entered by the person who legitimately needs access to their own account.
