Called stated she was from Adelman and Associates who would be dispatching court papers today. I called them and it was from a car loan from 17 yrs ago and the car is paid off. I told them I have all the paperwork and I would be happy to send it to them. When I hung up with "Adelman and Assoc" I got a call from 724-218-8501 stating his was a dispoatcher and would be serving me court papers. I told him I had spoken to the "law firm" and he said he wouold then speak to them.

rec'd call, did not answer but vm was the below, telling me to call this number, and if i did not, they would proceed with legal actions, identity and property without my knowledge. They state that someone is delivering legal documents to me today, and i should call the number to verify that i will be home to receive them

Got a call from a local number to my place of business asking for someone who has the authority to accept legal documents for "me". I said well you are speaking to "me" how can I help you. Lady sounded nervous when I said it was "me" on the phone. She proceeded to tell me that there was a legal complaint against my home "home address" and there were documents that needed to be delivered. I asked then why are you calling my work number to deliver documents to my home. Why not call my home/cell number. She stated that I needed to call this 800 number to get more details and to setup the delivery then she hung up. I called the number back just to see if it was a call center and the recording identified my cell number but wanted me to verify my identity by entering my last 4 of my SSN. I did not. I then called 888-602-6533 who a man answers with Adelmann & Associates. I told him I was called by someone who told me to call him for paperwork. He told me it was a debit from Citibank from 2013 that was unresolved and they were serving me court paperwork. I said what does that have to do with a complaint against my house, as the last lady stated. He said well they may be trying to put a lien on your residence for the $7,174 that they claim I owe. I've never had a citibank card so I knew from the beginning that this was a scam. He said paperwork was sent out to me back in March but there was no correspondence so they filed in court. However, because I told him I never got any paperwork at my house, he said he may be able to talk to the client and get them to re-offer the settlement of 50% + court fees. I laughed and said, no thanks go ahead and send the paperwork. He said ok well good luck. I said wait, when will this so called paperwork be delivered, he said well of the last lady I spoke to said they were working on arrangements then it would be within the next hour. I said interesting, because she said that you would be the one to arrange delivery. I hang up and call them back to make sure I had the correct spelling of the business name, someone else answers the phone "LEGAL". I said oh, well hi legal, can I please get your filed business name and website? He says do you have a case number with us, I said maybe, but I just need your filed business name and website. He said, well I'm not going to give that to you without you giving me some information because you can't just call up here and demand things. I laughed and said ok, have a good day. Waste of time. Don't spend any energy on this nonsense. I'll be waiting the next 45 minutes to see if this mysterious paperwork appears at my door.
