The call is a bot that simply gives out a verification called. I am in South Africa. Funny enough the first call came from a local (South African) mobile number - bot giving verification code. After that in the 30 minutes following I got 4 calls from this Carolina number, same bot issuing same verification code. Such companies should at least have the bot state what the verification code is for. As is I have not applied for anything that needs a code.

Requested WhatsApp code via SMS to my number, then sent phishing message to "urgently" request the whatsapp code in whatsapp itself - nasty SCAM and attempt to access my WhatsApp - others might not realise and fall for the trap - be careful
