I just don't have the time...so since they are not quick on the uptake (as in answering as soon as I pick up the phone, for some reason there is always some white noise for 5 seconds as if you were being transferred), I did the same...Hello ! Hello! sounded British but hey!!! It's May Day so leave me alone!

Out of the dozens of nuisance calls I get, this was a new one. The man gave his name and company name, on a noisy line and in an Indian accent, and proceeded to tell me he could guarantee to reduce my telephone bills. After I had kept him talking for a while he got to the stage of asking how much I was paying whereupon I told him it was none of his business and that he had interrupted me with an unwanted call when I was very busy. I told him I reported all such calls to Tellows and that in the end I looked forward to him being prosecuted. I asked whether he clearly understood and he said he did, so I wished him goodbye. He pretended to be unconcerned, but I know I narked him. At present all one can do is make life for these people as unpleasant as possible.
