   This group of criminals gets more sophisticated but only in some ways because I know who is calling when I hear a lot of background noise and there is a delay before anyone speaks. Of recent months they have been using fake numbers, of which this is probably one. Other times their number is "withheld" like it was today. When the woman, in foreign accent of course, said she was from Talk Talk I said, "Oh yeah." one of the few contributions I made to the conversation. Because I was waiting for my computer to back up files on to a remote drive (due to the latest ransomware scare) I allowed her to go through her long speech, and did not say anything so she asked whether I was still there. Eventually she wanted to know the devices I attached to my computer. "Did you ask a question?" I asked. When she repeated it I said, "I am not prepared to tell you that." At this point she rang off. The only way of dealing with these crooks now seems to be to waste as much of their time as possible or use other means to make their lives unpleasant. Wasting their time does temporarily stop them bothering other people, and it makes their operations less efficient.

   Phoned from "talk talk" had the correct name and postcode. Another computer based you have had your IP hacked, download this software scam.
   Tell them you don't have a PC just an IPAD and that you've never used a PC or laptop in your life. Hopefully they may stop

   Said he was calling from Microsoft service centre, insisted my computer was infected with viruses and wanted me to turn it on so he could show me. As I would not he became very abusive and verbally aggressive. After five minutes of this I told him to go forth and multiply. NASTY NASTY PERSON

   Received at least two calls from this lot. 15.07.2014 - an Asian sounding guy called Peter tells me that he is from Microsoft and that they have identified my computer to be full of viruses and it is sending malicious emails (or I think that is what he said). I said that is very interesting and that, seeing as he is from Microsoft and he has all of my information,he will be able to tell me which version of Windows I am running; either Windows 8, Windows 7, XP or Windows98. This confused him slightly and I followed up with "or maybe I'm just throwing him a line and I'm actually on a Mac". I then loudly suggested that he goes forth and multiplies with him sister. He hung up after that.

   I got a call from this lot on 16/07/2014 and the girl says that she wanted to check my interenet connection and that she was from B.T.The number is a con because I kept her talking for 10 minutes and then says that I do not have a internet in the house.She hung up and the number is from Iran.

   I smelled the trap from the start... I was able to keep them on line for 20 minutes though. I think I scared the shit out of them.. Telling them that with my GPS connection, I was able to get their exact location right now... They hung up immediately

    The caller was hard to understand because he had any foreign accent. His client was allegedly Microsoft. He said that my motherboard was broken on the computer and he wants to help me to fix this. Motherboard? Yes exactly. He told me exactly what I needed to do and finally I should download a software. I repeat: My motherboard is defective. Do they think I'm stupid? I told the guy that he should leave this crap and should rather look for a real job.
