This is an outsourced call center shack based in a 3rd world country. I would not have posted this until their caller told me to "fuck off" in the call. Since we ourselves are a call center we have recorded the SIP PSTN: end:16025. number of this center and will be reporting them to the DNC registry since they called in on a registered line. We will also inform their client to ensure their campaign is permanently suspended.

The people who called me for the grants scam may be calling from Staffing Agencies. A woman called and said I was selected for a 9K grant and she was from the US Fed Dept in Wash DC and she said I don't have to pay it back and hung up. I had a Hindu guy contact me about a job not posted on a company site for a temp job not posted any other place in my email or google search I did. I sent resume after he said I might get the job, didn't know something was wrong, during my emails with him or calls from Tx from a staffing agency. I got the scam grants call and they knew my name so now I am suspicious because I gave some personal info, hopefully not enough to hurt me, he didn't mention doing a drug test before getting a job which is std, and the company did onsite interviews not telephone interviews, testing onsite and he never said a word, so I might have been scammed while job hunting. I am trying to reach the company to see if this is valid. Beware people, all this online job search hurts a lot of people and everyone says apply online. It is hard to get a job this way. I had frequent calls for several weeks before I answered the call. Had some 202 calls I deleted, next time I will write them down.

Same BS $9k in a grant. Being that I'm in real estate I have to pick up when numbers show up, so I tend to deal with this kind of ignorance a lot. The wee Indian dude didn't have to say too much before I was on Google since I knew it was a scam. I kept asking him to repeat himself because his English isn't broken it's fairly nonexistent, gimme a break!! I finally said, 'Look, I know this is a scam...". He hung up.

Same thing as the others. 9000 awarded in a federal grant. But I did manage to get his name. He said it was sam and he was born in the usa. I kept asking what state. Also had very bad English so I told him I bet hes from Kentucky or alabama.he told me he was from north dakota originally. He also wouldnt give me his predictions on the 2014 nba finals. I told him I think the heat will take them but sam had no input. I told north dakota sam that if I get the money ill put it all down as a bet on the heat sweeping the finals and id split the winnings with him. Sam was having none of this. Kept getting me off track with his scam pitch so I threw him a curve ball. I asked him if Pakistani p**sy tastes like curry chicken. Sam didnt really have an answer for me so I still dont know what it taste like but I might order indian take out tonight. North dakota sam has made me very hungry.

This was from a man with an Indian-sounding accent. He said the same...I was chosen to receive $9000 from the federal government. When he asked what I thought about that, I said "this is probably a scam." Instead of denying this or just hanging up he actually said "You are saying that with me still on the phone? Why dont you just SHUT UP and hang up the phone?" I must have hurt his poor feelings but he really needs to work on his people skills! Total time of call was 51 seconds.

The offshore woman (who said she was with the government but didn't say which government) told me in very broken English that I had won a government grant for 10,000 dollars and then asked if I wanted to know how it was possible. I said no, I am not interested and please remove me from your list. She hung up on me. I was hurt that she didn't even say goodbye... we were so close. ;-) I hope no one gets drawn in by such a comical scam.

Total scam -- The woman could hardly speak English but was "from US government grants department". I actually work off of grant money (professor) & was confused for a minute. And said: "What?" "What is this in regards to?" (I couldn't understand the person). And she said aggressively: "If you want to know - then you listen to me!". I hung up. These people should be in jail! Scamming folks!

Bullshit scam artists saying i won a $9000 government grant. I didn't even give her a chance to tell me the crap she told you guys like "You pay your bills on time and have good credit." Wish i would have though, because then i would have known for sure it's bullshit. I hardly ever pay bills on time and my credit is shit. I told her, "No one just gives you free money, is this a joke?" She then just hung up. If they call again i'll let them think i'm giving them my bank account number so i can say "GO FUCK YOURSELVES" instead lol. It's ok to verbally assault scam artists.

Call to my cell phone - super annoying.
Similar to other postings above, super sketchy non-native english speaking solicitor attempts to start conversation:
"Hello, um, <garbled salutation>, this is a call from a government agency, Ok?"
WTF - like I need reassurance from the caller that he's from a government agency?
So after 3 attempts to figure out who he's trying to talk to since he probably purposely muffled who he wanted to talk to, he hangs up on me. -

Spam call. Poor english - obvious it is a second language. Calling from government department in DC. I was going to receive a $9000 grant because I pay my bills on time, have good credit and never filed bankruptcy. Wanted to know if I wanted the grant money wired into my bank account or deposited towards a credit card. (To get more information I said my chechking account, please) He said give me your account number. I said I don't have it here at work - but I can call you back. Can I have a number to call you back. He said No - I hold - give me your number now. I hung up. It was like I was being robbed over the phone "Give me your number now!" Fool!

Caller had a heavy foreign accent and insisted that I had been selected to receive a grant from the federal government to go to school, pay bills, or buy a car. He said they could not send it in the form of a check. I would have to give a visa gift card, credit card, or bank account number. I asked how was I selected and where did he get my name and phone number. He said it was on file. This was the second time I received this call. The first time, they hung up on me because I kept asking who were they trying to call. He couldn't even verify my name.

scammmmmmmm....Non english speaking person calls and tells you that they are with the federal government (REALLY???) anyway they claim that you were selected to receive a $9000 grant and they want you to provide them with you banking or credit card info so they can deposit the money. when i told him that i'll call him back he started freaking out and wanted some information before i hung up and when i tried to call back it was disconnected... sketchy
