Computerized voice claiming to by an IRS agent (Julie) and urging you to call immediately - left a scratchy message on voice mail. Clearly a scam - we don't owe any unpaid taxes and we have a CPA. IRS would send a data request in writing, along with a case number, if there was a problem.

I called back. A man answered. I asked to verify his background and he said his name John Harderson. He said IRS filed lawsuit against me. I asked why? He said I owned IRS $8,000 and it is very important. Then he asked me call back after 20 minutes. I googled the phone number and found this site.

I have received three calls from this number. No message is left, when unanswered. When answered, a recorded voice states that the call is from the IRS and that I must call back , at the very number by which the present call originates. It further warns of consequences should I or my attorney fail to call. THIS IS A SCAM !
