   I also received a call from this number. it is an electronic voice saying it is Julie Smith of IRS for time sensitive issue. Left same number is "hotline" but no one picks up when i call back. Glad ot know it is a scamer

   SCAM!
   Caller claims she is an officer with the IRS . She wants you to call her immediately. Local news story warned of this type of calls in our area. They warned not to engage in conversations with these people who get very verbally abusive. Th IRS will not call without first attempting to contact you by mail first. And do not give any bank or cc info to these people just hang up. Thank goodness for caller ID and message machines.

   Call with text-to-speech announcement asking to Call Julie Smith with the IRS. Call back and it is a non-govt call center of some sort. Half the time, the call doesn't connect. Don't be fooled.

   After they called me. I new it was a scam so I started calling them. I played dumb the first time I called and gave them a fake name. They took my fake name and said I was on the list. That is when I called there bluff . Don't give this scum any info.

   First place I work for a CPA and the IRS never calls you on a Saturday. Gov't people don't work during the week let alone on weekends. They never say officer Julie. It is agent Julie and my badge number is *****. That is always the 1st thing they say. This is a bullshit call and it sounds like towel heads

   Similar situation happened to me. It was very unprofessional and I was skeptical. I told the lady on the phone to have a nice day and hung up on her without providing additional information.

    I received this call and they left me a voicemail using a text to speech application. It was along the lines of "I'm Julie Smith with the IRS.. I have some important information to discuss with you... please call back and do not avoid this call." Being the skeptic I am I searched the number and found numerous reports from this number. Also did a reverse phone lookup, the number is registered to New Cingular Wireless. Did a search on IRS on these types of call and reported to the govt as the description of this call matches the reports written by IRS. Hope this post will help others not to be scammed.

    We have been receiving calls weekly from this Officer Julie Smith stating that we must urgently contact her regarding debts owed to the IRS. I have contacted the IRS directly and they confirmed that I have none. Who can we report this to?

    Says they're from the IRS with a "time sensitive" issue. Caller ID on my phone only says "unknown number".
