Called multiple times per day over the last several weeks, once I hit "block number" on my cell phone it came through as "unknown caller"
Sixth time I answered the call, after reading this forum, and the heavily accented female caller applied the same tactics, just give her my account and routing number and a bunch of money will "magically" appear in my account courtesy of "the government."
I politely told them, since they have all the information already, to just drop a check in the mail for me. She hung up. -

Asian guy with broken english said I was selected to receive $9,200 from the United States Grant Department. Said he needed some info to send me the funds. I told him he was wasting my time and he responded that I was wasting his time. They are all scam!

This number called once I missed the call, right after it called again and I ran to the phone didn't recognize the number so I declined. I declined the call an additional 4 times they kept calling back. Finally I answered said hello and no one responded so I hung up right away. Usually I get these weird calls telling me I won something or that there is a virus on my computer so I tried to avoid these weird phone numbers.

Guy with a heavy accent and broken English said I was randomly selected to receive $9200 from the US Government Grant Association b/c of my history of paying bills on time and not filing bankruptcy. I listened to his spiel for a few minutes, saying really, and is that so a few times. Then he asked how would I like to receive this money. I told him since it was from the government, I didn't need their support b/c I work for my money.

OK ever since i bought an mattress from Conn's, I've received these annoying calls from the same 8 digit number. This third time on three different days that i magically won free grant money various 10k-8k from three different agents. The last one simple hangs up because she struggling to pronounceable the English work/pitch from her cue cards. Avail this number or better they'll hang up due to frustration on English language or clear asking them if they know your name or repeat their first opening liner dollar amount pitch. Its a scam to wire western union fees of $345 dollars for a deposit to an account# to receive your bogus funds. So do not fall for it or kiss your money goodbye.

I have zero cash in my checking because i have another bank for my savings and the type of checking account i have is a non overdraft account... can they still get me? I just want to know because if theres any chance that this is real, i could really use the money because i have a baby on the way and i dont have the greatest paying job... i only make about 1400 a week and cost of living in san jose is very high... please help? -

I was called by a man who said he worked for the us treasury and that I had been selected to receive 8,432 dollars. He went on a whole spiel about how I had been randomly selected and that there had been a survey in my area. I did not feel like getting annoyed so I simply asked him what my name was. He said "what?" and I said if I was randomly selected, what is my name. He hung up immediately. Ridiculous

Same as others. Do not trust this number. Broken English. Said I was selected to received $8,000 because I had good credit and I am a home owner. (I have terrible credit and I rent my house). Asked how I wanted the money, I said for him to deliver it in cash personally. Then I told him I don't trust him, he asked why? I said because this is awfully suspicious. He continued to try to make sense against the wind in the back ground. I hung up. Oh and the number is missing one digit to be considered U.S

I received a call from this number last week, and just heard a computer voice say "good-bye." When I searched the number online, I found this page, so I was prepared when "Alice" called today. My caller ID said that the caller was from Washington, D.C., even though the phone number is missing a digit. "Alice" has an obvious accent. I don't recall the exact amount of the grant she said that I was qualified to receive, but it was in the thousands of dollars. When I asked her where she was from, she said "The U.S. Federal Grant Association." When I asked her who headed up the U.S. Federal Grant Association, she hung up on me.

Caller with heavy asian accent called from a cell while outside, windy, to phish for my bank or credit card information so that the US Gov could deposit $8,400.00 into my account within 40 minutes, as I was specially selected for the Government Loyalty Grant because I pay my bills and have not filed for bankruptcy. When I asked how many people "fall for this", he didn't understand what I meant and continued explaining the grant. I told him I did not have my purse because I was at work (not really) he promised to call me back at 11:00 am. I hope to have a bit more fun before refusing to participate.

Started getting calls like this and others after shopping for auto insurance went to bankrate.com to compare insurance after putting in phone number and various other info about vehicles owned I started recieving these calls beware do not use bankrate.com or other comparising sites they sell your info how else do they make money as sholes should have known better guess ill change numbers.
