I had a couple of messages from 202-697-9018. The man with a heavy Indian accent said there was a legal tort against me, and said that I should return the call and something to the effect that I would be in "big trouble" if I didn't. I did call back and got a generic message.

Called today by name of Jack Greene and claimed I owed the government money. The more I probed him for questions he broke out in hysterical laughter and kept calling back. Eventually I tired of it thinking it was a prank call but clearly this guy has been getting everybody around town in the Indian community to dish up the cash (I was told later by a relative). It's a fraud. I ended up calling the non emergency police and they are aware of this. Also called the number back and they seemed off put the more I probed them with questions. I was surprised they even answered at all. Seemed totally clueless and were using another name at this point and hung up on me. Same terrible Indian accent. I thought it might be someone in my family trying to scam me but probably a little bit bigger than the scope of my personal situation now that I'm investigating them online. They got a little silly with me and started talking about adding me on facebook so they weren't able to keep up the character the whole time. Anyway, screw these people. And if you can terrorize them back by calling them cause they haven't changed the number yet.

Man with thick accent couldn't understand 1/2 of the message but he did say I have a lawsuit and if I didn't call back I would face very serious grave grave troubles. Looked it up and I found several of the same reports with different names/IRS/FBI so I'm guessing some kind of identity theft scam to get all your information

This person says his name is Jack Green (Indian accent)and claims we have a IRS lawsuit against us and they are trying to help us but we have to respond that very day with tax form 941c. I told him I thought it was a scam and I would call the IRS and talk to them. Also spoke to a Smith Johnson (also Indian accent). He said he would wait on hold...eventually hung up. Called IRS and they said they always send letters explaining any issues against you, and this is a scam. They were aware of this 202-697-9018 number. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS no matter how convincing they try to be.

A man with a thick accent left a message at my home number. I couldn't understand some of it, but did get the part that there is a lawsuit against me and that I should call them back at this number, or turn myself in, or a US Marshall will come and arrest me. Good way to scare someone. Geesh.

A person with an accent..not able to speak a sentence clearly calls and says there is federal investigation going on. He identified himself as Max Wilson. It is just another fake call. There should be a way to catch hold of these agencies and punish them.

A woman with slight accent (probably India) said that to me a process is running and it needs some information for sharing with the public prosecutor. What is it for an alleged crime, they would not tell me. I also never got post or the like. I think that the woman wanted just to get to my data and the story is a scam.
