    Received a call from someone with a Middle Eastern accent to forgive up to 40% of my student loans and he asked what my monthly payment was. Told him to email any info and he did but it was to reset my fsa password, which I knew and never tried to change. Told him I didn't have time to do what he was asking and he said he'd call back later. I, then, called the number back and it was disconnected! I immediately blocked the number and changed my fsa account info. Like another commenter stated, I was locked out of the account after too many failed attempts to log-in. Although, I'd never tried to log into the account.

    Everyone has said that this caller is wanting to "forgive" college loans. Well, I graduated 30 years ago and ALL of my college expenses were paid off 6 months after graduation!

    I've been getting calls from this number for months, 8-10 times a day, and no one is on the line and they will not leave a message. I may have made mistake today answering the call and waiting until a foreigner finally spoke (very difficult to understand). Said he was with the US government offering to reduce student loans. I kept asking questions and he finally told me it was to reduce monthly payments, not total balance. He basically was telling me everything that is available on the website. The problem was he wanted my student loan total balance to calculate new payment BUT needed me to open an email (from nslds.gov) and give him the security code they sent to set up a password. I told him I could log onto my account and give him the amount. I go to my account and find out it was locked from too many access attempts. I told him to remove my number and not call again that I was not interested in reducing them and if I was that I would handle myself on their website but was not giving him any information. PLEASE tell me they can't access your wi-fi from the phone call?!?!?! I sure hope not but I am finding out how to block the number immediately!!!!
    He hangs up when you request number to be removed from list without responding---therefore, continues to call. Always sounds like the same guy.
