They ring your number and then hang up. This way when people that call them back you are considered the call initiator and it's not considered a telemarketing call, because when you call them back they say that it was you who called. What legal and clever way around the no call list and the law.

Thanks for the tip. Exactly what happened to me, but i googled the number first and read your meeage. The last thing i need is a conversation with a telemarketer.
