   They called me at random for a research study by the health dept. I used to work at a survey research center when I was in college. They had very specific rules about who they selected from the household, how they read the questions, they couldn't interpret your responses, asked basic demographics, etc. This guy followed the exact same routine, and therefore, I trusted it. So I answered the questions I wanted to answer, declined a few, and I admittedly lied on a couple (ie. I didn't state that I was a single mother of young children... I said I was married and declined to say how many children in the house). While I don't mind answering general questions about how many fruits and veggies I eat, whether I have certain illnesses, do I have health coverage, etc... I do have the option to decline to answer anything that I find too personal. And the guy who called just said okay and moved on. He wasn't pushy or anything... He was very polite.

   Me again... one more thing.
   If this survey research place is anything like the company I used to work for, then they are required to call back until they speak to someone... and to try one more time after the first rejection (just once more). The rationale is that maybe the first call was just bad timing, or maybe they'll reach a more willing participant the secondtime around. But after two rejections they stop... at least that's what my company did.
   Why did I continue working there?! Well, because they would always use the survey results for good purposes, to make improvements, to help people in some way... never for retail, sales, etc.
   This place seems to operate in the same manner. So I think it's legit.

   The guy claimed to be the New York Dept of Health doing a study and that they needed to speak with the second oldest male adult in the household. I said NO and DO NOT CALL. how the heck can we stop this?

   I had many calls from this number, which remained unanswered in the past. Finally, I wanted the number already lock, but then still a call I took contrary. You signed up as a "Clearwater Res" and said that it intends to conduct this important survey. I immediately wanted to know where you got my number and why is calling on for weeks because of a "survey"? The woman stammered something unintelligible and hung up. Since then, no more calls came from 2083763376.
