   said they were the IRS and needed information and I hung up. Thinking the IRS would use different measures to collect a debt. SCAM TO GET MONEY!!

   the message advised this was a call from the IRS taking me to court and I needed to call them right away at a different number. The IRS would send me letters first, and the number I called back was busy, I would hope the IRS would have more than one line and a recording of selecting who I need to speak to.

   I got a voice mail from 512 477 0300 saying it was a final notice from IRS, that they were filing a lawsuit against me and to call this number for info. When I called this number, an Indian woman
   Answered asked for me phone number, I asked if it was the Internal Revenue Service, she said yes, and asked for my phone number again...I said
   The IRS would ask for SSN not phone number and she hung up. If you get a call from either of these numbers call the IRS and report them!

   Same thing here. I, however, never called them. If they were legit, their caller ID would pick up your number. You are right, the IRS would ask for your ssn.
