Phone number appears as originating in Nebraska. This was the 2nd call within a half hour (1st one I didn't answer). When I did answer, they referred to me by name (called a business #). When I asked the female where she was calling from she said "American Chamber of Commerce". When I asked her where she was located she said "thank you for your time" and hung up on me......

Received a call on 7/31/15 around 2:30 p.m., on my business line. Man asked me very directly is this.........Are you still located at.... I asked him who he was. He stated that he was calling from the chamber of commerce and that the call was to update our business listing.
I said to him, I don't take solicitation calls on my business line. If you have this number, you also have our email address. Send us an email, and we would be happy to look at what you need. He then rudely and abruptly hung-up.
I felt the call was intrusive and weird. So we did a little research and found this funky little website:

called, said they were from the Chamber of Commerce and need to verify my companys info, started asking for the owners name, etc..asked them why are you asking me all this, if you are just verifing and updateing your records, you should already have all that info...lol..called them and told them to remove our number..

said was gathering information for Chamber of Commerce asked why the number came up as an Omaha not Florida and she said I dont know and kept asking questions asked her again what this was for and got a snotty attitude I hung up this is a scam. I called our local chamber of commerce they assured me they do not hire outside companies to gather or update information. do not answer questions.

A guy called my business asking for our address. When I asked who he was, he replied he was updating information for the Chamber of Commerce. The called ID showed Nebraska, not Alabama. Something is fishy about the whole thing. He hung up quickly after I started asking questions.

Received a call from this number asking basic info about our company...told me he was with the Chamber of Commerce and updating info. As we are members of our county's chamber, I almost gave in, but I'm used to these calls, and they are usually not what they claim. When I asked him to hang on a moment (while I checked with someone else what to say), he hung up. He was also very annoyed that I asked him again who he was calling for.

After giving the basic info of our company, I am now receiving phone calls from various businesses (all are cold calling/selling). Best option is tell them that they running a scam and everyone knows it. Will force them to stop it.

Got a call from this number at 12:20pm. He did not say who he was or where he was calling from. He asked me to confirm the business name and address. He then asked for the manager or owners name. I asked where he was calling from. He said Chamber of Commerce. He repeated the question of who our manager was. I said it depends on the program [we have multiple] and he hung up on me. Scam, as far as I can tell.

Caller didn't even state their name or a company they was will. First thing said to us was: How many employees do you have? we simple said It's none of your business! Who are you and who are you with? We was told they were with the American Chamber of commerce however that was all the info we was told before being hung up on. What a joke.

I asked several questions. they started with can i get the info about your business. where is it, who owns it, whats is their full name.....
then i speak... Who are you (chamber of commerce), really, what are you doing with the info?( updating your business listing), which chamber of Commerce are you with again? (american chamber of commerce, can you explain to me the benefits of giving you our companies info....awaiting a sales pitch.. ( if you dont want to give the info thats fine.... CLICK)

They called and verified the name of my business and address. Then asked who was the manager. They needed those infos to updating the Chamber of Commerce and they concluded with "thank you for your time" then hung up. Definitely not with the CoC...
