Yep read all of your comments got the same call but I fixed this one. I know what he's doing - verifying phone numbers for some political outreach - most probably. I blocked his number permanently. My Panasonic DECT 6.0 phone system have a block number feature on them which I use often. Caller rings but the call doesn't go through, after 1/2 of 1 ring it cuts them off like the number is wrong - best part is you are no longer bothered by a PEST. Or if I get too many from the same person or pest we go online with Verizon FIOS and permanently block the pest forever. When the system hits full up - we go to the earliest pest and remove it. Anyway works for us just a solution to this on going problem
another phone scam replied 11/3/15, 1:51 PM-- the guy's playing the same scam over and over: as soon as the phone is picked up -- he stutters, giggles in the background and then tells you he's got the wrong number. Time to report this waste of time to State Atty Gen -

Sound quality was consistent with robocalls. Same instant "Hello? Hello?" routine as others have reported. I said "Hello" once, then said nothing. The caller hung up before getting to the "I think I have the wrong number" part.
In Canada, robocalls are illegal under CRTC telecommunications laws, except in an extremely limited number of circumstances, and all such calls must begin by clearly stating the name and number of the caller and the purpose of the call.
As suggested by others, I've filed an AUP complaint with Bandwidth.com, the company that owns the number where this robocall originated.Pj Ottawa replied 3/16/16, 11:46 AMJust received this call March 16th at 11:45am around the same time as you received your call. We are south of Ottawa so they must be heading north of the border for their scams.
Thanks for info.Vancouver receptionist replied 7/21/16, 1:16 PMI answer the phone for 7 companies. Got this call on 4 of the lines already. After the 2nd, I realized it was just a recording. Still p!sses me off to keep getting the call on all my other lines. The number shows up as Nebraska on CID. -

Got a call with male voice saying hello a couple of times, then he apologized for possibly calling a wrong number and then it hung up. I didn't say anything after the first hello, but it carried on almost conversationally, so I'm thinking it's a pre-recorded call.

Number calls and says hello hello oh sorry I have the wrong number then hangs up. We pay ten cents for every call. They need to stop. Doesn't sound like much bur ten a day is a dollar every day for a month or s thirty dollars and from different telemarketers it's more than ten a day. Tired of them all. We got the call today November 21 2015 at 2.51 pm

Nearly hundreds of people have reported a fake "Hello? Hello? I must have a wrong number." call from this number. I found that the number is carried by Bandwidth.com. You have to go to the website, go to the bottom and click on the Acceptable Use Policy tab to fill out a complaint form. (Calling the Bandwidth company is unless unless you've filled out a complaint first.)

I just received a call from this number on a business phone and the same pattern happened with me--said "hello, hello, I must have the wrong number" and hung up. Clearly this guy is testing phone numbers for someone, since the pattern has repeated itself so often.
