   At first it's a recording - stating they have important information about your credit card - that there is not an issue, but to contact them right away - press 9 to be connected. This is not the first time I received the call and I pushed 9 in an effort to speak with someone and request to be removed. Let me note, I am on the DNC List for both my home and private cell numbers. I apologize for the copy to come next... I inquired as to who the gentlemen was calling with and he would not provide me with an answer, instead he beat around the bush with what he could do for me. I stated and ask that he clarify that he was not with my current credit company and that he was in fact a 3rd-party. I could tell he was trying to avoid actually answering, he then stated he was not a '3rd party'. I then asked him how he obtained my phone number - he claimed through the Credit Bureau - and named all three. I then stated that he remove me from their call list - to which he responded "F*ck you, b*tch." I was speechless, in slight shock at first and I thought he had hung up due to the silence - he then repeated... "**** you." I harshly told him I was reporting him and he hung up.

   Call came in - said my credit card is sage but have a way to lower my creditg card rate; press 9; Indian speaking male on phone - difficult to understand but said he was calling with Visa/MasterCard to lower my rates on Chase, etc cards; recognized i was a joint card holder & that I had a number of cards; mentioned the 3 credit bureaus & my credit rating being in the 750 range qualified me for lower my rates; I was suspect but stayed on the call but should have hung up; he went on to ask for my Target Visa card number; I told him as he was calling me - I would not give him that info but he kept working around it until he had most of the info he wanted; he transferred me to someone else & that person started talking about a fee of $1,295 to save $2,500 and I hung up; I immediately called Target & had my card cancelled to be reissued; they confirmed that they have had multiple customers with calls from this same source. It was a scam.

   Just got a call from an indian speaking guy asking me to verify my card information for Amazon/Chase, saying he could lower my interest rate. He said my info was on his computer, but was unwilling to verify what my name or address was, or what particular cards I had, and instead said I have over $4000 which I do not. He hassled me for info & said he couldn't help unless I provided the card numbers. I said "f**k you", and hung up. Hope my reply helps others avoid this clear and blatant crime.

   said my mastercard debit card was being voided as it was being misused or some words to that effect. And to press 1, to speak to someone. I DO NOT have a mastercard debit card.

   Same experience as previous posts. The rep actually asked me which card do I carry a balance on, so I asked "what card are you calling about?" He named off 5 cards and I only own one of those with a 0.00 balance..He would not provide a company name and tried to talk over me....he eventually hung up when I said take me off the list. I tried calling the number back and it said NOT IN SERVICE.:)

   I answered after receiving 2 previous calls from them. The recording said, "your card is safe. press one to hear about lowering your rates. Pressed 1 to talk to someone and tell him I wanted to to be removed from their calling list. He went on and on about how he saw that I pay my bills on time and how he could lower my credit card rates to half of what they are now. I said great, let's get it down to 0%. Then he asked which card I carried the highest balance. I told him AMEX Platinum *wink*. Then he asked me what the expiration date was and to give him the card #. ***YEAH RIGHT!!!*** I told him 777 777 777 7777. He said, "Are you get the F(*& out of here, what you need is a big C&*{ in your a$$." I said why are you calling me? Take me off your list! He went back to his ESL abberation of cursing me out. HILARIOUS! I may call back to learn some new ESL curse phrases!

   They called me to offer me lower rates. Then they wanted to have my credit card information. At that point I hung up.
