i have been getting these harrassing phone calls from this phone # stating that my mom owes them for a magazine cancellation fee. i hate these companies and want them to stop calling my home and harassing us

I get harassment calls from this number quite often recently. For me it was regarding magazine subscription nonsense. You're better of not answering at all, but if you do they try to scare you into paying a "one-time" fee to pay off your "debt" you owe. Demand proof on paper for some kind of statement, which they never do. They'll threaten to send you to their "legal department", which they have no grounds to do since they weren't willing to provide any proof. You can help deter these calls by reporting them to the CFPB. (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) Just keep a log on paper or on your computer when you get the calls. I'm currently doing the same.

They called me about my magazine subscription​ that I never got and never ordered. They said I owe $ but if I pay $300 I can settle the debt. Wow she was really rude on the phone and this is real harrasment.
