It's nearly identicial to what happened with my nan: she was called by someone claiming to be me and telling her some sort of sob story about how he was arrested and that he needed money to post bail and get a lawyer. The funny thing is, they chose to call the very same day that I was visiting her. You could imagine how surprised she was to have me at her door just minutes after that call. I'm just glad she didn't do anything - said she never could have imagined me being arrested anyways. Smart nan!

Beware! Total scam! They called my grandmother a few days ago, claiming to be my brother, saying he was arrested and needed money for bail. Luckily, my grandma has a good head on her shoulders and called us first!
