Received call from this number. The guy told me because I'm a very good customer they want to give a low rate on my mastercard. kept asking me to verify my personal information which I obviously did not provide. He tried very hard to sound legitimate. I think this was either a scam or very aggressive, intrusive and untrustworthy telemarketing. If credit card company's want to provide you with any promotions, they send you letters through mail. I've never received a call from a legitimate credit card company who wanted to give me credit card.

this people calling me 4-5 times a day, asking the same questions, expiry date of credit cards and number, loollll like who is so stupid this days to give those info out? my major question is, knowing the number, why the police doesn't do anything about them. they have a location, a phone number....wtf?

Received call Sept. 15/14. No caller Name. Checked number on computer and saw it apparently originates from the Niagara area. Just rings but no-one answers so just hung- up.
Apparently according to the Police it is a phishing scam regarding Credit Cards.
So like every warning "DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION". -

I have blocked this number on my Panasonic phone, press menu, then #, code 217, press add, then the number. The heavy accented male had my name and address also, talked about reducing my Visa rate, gave me his name, employee number. I noticed this call is blocked daily FCOL. I wouldn't give him my dog piss!

Same as the previous comments. A guy speaking English with an east-indian accent told me that my credit card rate will be lowered. When I asked him which bank he is calling from, he said TD. I told him that I don't bank there and will report the number to RCMP.

I had a call from this number and said they're going to reduce my interest for all my credit card and ask all my credit card number. I gave a wrong number as I know this is a scam. he could not retrieve the details, so he was so mad.

From this number a man called, didn't identify himself right away as normal business people do. Once asking him, who it was he told me his name was Brian Johnson. He had a very strong near east accent. He told me he was involved with my credit card company and that because I make all my payments on time that he was going to get me a reduced rate. He kept referring to my credit card, but not a company.
I already knew he was trying to obtain my credit card information, but I could not resist stringing him along a bit. I asked him if he was from Mastercard. He said yes he was from Mastercard. At which point I said, "Oh I think I need to contact my credit card company." He then asked, "Why?" To which I replied, "Wrong company." and hung up. -

He asked me to give my cc number for reduced interest rate.
I did not trust him, I asked him give me the phone number to contact him ie Toll free number. He says he did not have one.

Called our house saying that they were Visa & that they wanted to lower my credit card interest rate to 6%.
Asked for the card's expiry date straight away. Couldn't tell when I gave him a fake one.
Lastly, their only training for new recruits seems to the movie Boiler Room.

Without asking my name, straightaway telling me that they are going to reduce my credit card interest rate. Asked for my credit card expiration date. I asked them for which credit card, they said all of my credit cards. lol Asked them to list the credit cards that I have, they can't tell. Asked them what is my name, can't tell either.
