called the 888 number that popped up on my web browser today with friends knowing it was a scam for money and the man proceeded to tell us he was from microsoft so we told him we were on an apple computer and he panicked and we hung up after calling him a scam artist. they then called me 12 times from this number before i finally blocked them. smh someone needs to stop this

Two wks ago, I had my cmptr frozen, telling me I had a security breach. A Cstmr Srvc #1-800-866-7348 was trying to scam me of $3oo. to fix my cmptr. Fortunately, I didn't give him any # info, and arranged for him to call me back. I Googled the 1-800 #, to find out it's Google Searches #1 internet scam. I reported that #, and received a call today, from Boca Raton, FL...the 1-561 #. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. I was Blessed to find out before I lost $300', like so many others have.

Yes it is me again....i am going to report them to the Federal Us Government and tell them what is going on....it also happened my girlfriend the same exact thing...I Hope they catch these people..... now my brand new computer is going to be damaged...I hope not....

That call was then directed to 5617674186 where a technician directed the user to run commands allowing him remote access. User's computer was compromised.

This number is associated with 888-996-1446 which is a group of scam artists (likely from India) that attack your internet browser by locking it up and presenting an audio announcement and 888-996-1446 to call them (which I did) so I could tell them they're a bunch of liars and rip-off artists and thieves. Then they started calling me back on the number 561-757-4186 I guess to harass me LOL. BLOCKED.

I logged in to the fedloan.org website and got a pop up window with alarm sound that froze my computer. The pop up warning states that I mustn't turn off the computer suggesting that I will lose all data, and to call 561-757-4186. I called the number and a "Ryan" with a very thick Indian accent answered but did not identify the company he was working for. I had to ask him who he was and the name of his company. He said to me, "I already told you." I asked again, and he talked around the question and stated that he was affiliated with Microsoft. He gave me a code to type into my computer, and I did, but then my McAffee protection popped up to warn me that the website I was about to enter was unsafe. "Ryan" told me to click anyway and disregard McAffee and that's when I hung up.

They are trying to scam you for money.Patricia replied 3/20/17, 4:15 PMa message pop up on my window and told me that my computer did not work that I needed to call this number 1-844-592-5233, I already had them go on my computer...they called me back on another number 561-757-4186 gave them my credit card number, it did not go through...then called my son and he is a police officer...you got scam...hopefully they can catch this people...telling me my hardware is corrupted...feel such a fool...but it pop up on my computer...I should have hung up but I did not, I asked if they were from dell...they told me they were from Mircosoft .....Patricia replied 3/21/17, 12:00 AMyes it is me again...i am going to call the Federal Us Government tomorrow to report them...this is very very unfair to people...

Finally got off call from this number. Really made me believe it was Microsoft and allowed them access on my computer. Dumb me! Reporting to US Govt too.
