Everybody knows "Do Not Call" does NOT Work. Try "No More Robot Calls" @ WWW.nomorobo.com. It's a no fee service (for VoiP land lines), eliminated 95 % of my Spam. Check the site . . . it explains how it works and it costs nothing (for land lines) ! [And No, I don't have stock in the company, but I wish I did!]

This number showed on caller ID, name "Unavailable". Didn't answer. Less than a minute later, phone rang. ID 800-311-5968, "Unavailable". Looked up that number also; they have several complaints as well. Comments given are usually computer related.

Got call from (603) 371-6666. My cable phone service blocked it. They called back within seconds and left no message.

- -To ensure that we don't block important calls made by humans, when a suspected robocaller calls you, we answer the call and play a message to them, asking them to input a random number. - -
If the caller successfully enters the random number (technically called a CAPTCHA), we send the call back to you but we change the Caller id to 608-371-6666 (NOMO). If we didn't do this, the call would get caught in an endless loop.
***Here's an example.*** Let's say that Shady Charity, Inc is making some calls to ask for donations. Their phone number is 800-555-0100 and, of course, it's blacklisted. This number called my house many times. Sometimes the number is 859 257 5218 as the first call which says it's Univ of Kentucky but this same number called before with Maine Medical as the caller ID so it's a fraud because I called Maine Medical & spoke with the people there. They didn't know their name was being used. that 859 number calls first then is blocked then immediately it is followed with the 608 371 6666 number which goes to my answering machine.

My phone rang twice. The first time it was just one ring, so I know my call blocker rejected it. The second time this number showed up and the caller id said "Maine Medical Center."
I know this was spoofed as I live nowhere near that facility. It was most likely a debt collector as those scumbags typically spoof numbers (which, btw, is against the law) in an attempt to get people to pick up the phone.
You don't have to fall for this, people! Keep on blocking! Blocking, blocking, blocking....eventually these idiots will go away. -

The phone rang once and nomorobo caught it but then it rang right in again and showed up as Maine Medical Center. I answered as I have family that lives right next to Maine Med. They verified my name and when they tried verifying my address I knew right off it wasn't Maine Med. I told them I didn't live at the address they were asking and had moved and they said before they go any further they need to let me know they are a debt collector. I started screaming at them and called them a weasel for using the name of a Medical Center to get people to answer the phone and I hung up. It won't happen again. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. lol

Claimed they were call for a law firm notifying me of a cash prize. I asked them up front how much will it cost me to get my prize. Told another individual would take that information. The inter would transfer me to that person she claimed she was only an intern. I asked her again for the name of her law firm and she gave me the same name she gave me when I first picked up the phone. I asked her for the phone number to call her organization back and she hung up.

Medical survey about an MD and facility I had used recently. Only asked my opinion of Doctor and staff. Did not ask any personal/intrusive questions. Standard questions -was he professional, how long was the wait, etc.
Note that this first came thru as "unknown," but blocked by nomorerobo after 2 rings. Second call had only the number. I would not have answered ordinarily, but I was waiting for an important call.

Called twice in quick succession - Nomorobo caught the first, second caught by my call blocker device - since I had previously blocked the number with some other Caller ID. This seems to be a way the spammers have found to work around Nomorobo. They seem to be desperate now.

First got a call that my caller ID read as "Unknown Caller" and the blocker stopped it after one ring. Within 15 seconds, got the call showing the number as 608-371-666. A man (no accent) said he was calling for my mother-in-law but totally botched the pronunciation of her first and last names (and they're not that difficult to say). He said he was a process server from Clark County, Nevada (where she used to live), and she had a court summons he was trying to serve. I tried to explain to him that he's mispronounce both names, AND that she's been dead for over two years. He interrupted me to say "I couldn't care less!" So I hung up on him. Jerk.

This caller is a frequent flyer. We have NomoRobo. The phone rings once, and Caller ID just reads, "Incoming Call" and leaves no trace thereafter that any call came in. Immediately after NomoRobo cuts it off after one ring, we receive a second call, which seems to always ring only twice. (Our setting is for our voice message to kick in after six rings); Caller ID displays this number, and does leave a record that the call came in. Of course there are no messages. Calls like these want to be sneak attacks.

First I got a call from 1-888-250-5010 ("UNAVAILABLE") and Nomorobo blocked in one ring.
Within a minute another call from 608-837-6666 came in, avoided blocking, and rang through. I let it go to voicemail and there was no message (but the caller or calling system stayed on long enough to hear my recording). Scumbags. -

Company called our home phone she said in regard to an application that she had for a pay day loan.Caller ID stately only Janesville, Wisconsin 608-371-6666), She mentioned her company name as well as her first name after I later asked, but I do not recall the name but it was supposed to be due to someone applying for a pay day loan. I then thought she was calling me for a reference for the applicant. Then she told me that the applicant was Marvin ---. I told her that I did not make application for that or for any loan and evidently someone is trying to do identity theft of my name and social security number.She then agreedwith me that I should investigate that possibility and we ended our conversation. Thankfully I did not accept the bait.

Nomorobo blocked 318-4318 (UNKNOWN NAME), ringing just once, and then immediately after that it rang twice with this number showing. No message, but it could have been Nomorobo blocking it. However, before Nomorobo no one ever left a message either. If I remember correctly, Nomorobo blocks robo calls, but not calls from "humans".

This number calls me with 1 ring at first -- THen it immediately calls again. It may call 6 times a day. After many days of this, I finally picked up and said Hello. No response and it cut the connection. I called it back and an autoanswer asked what or which number called me. So, I hung up. I am Concerned.

It is a number that a robocall blocker uses to allow people to call me via skype. The caller is asked to enter the code number just given to them. A person can enter the code. A robocall cannot. There are many numbers used. My son, who lives overseas, calls frequently over SKYPE.

I got a message from # 608 371 6666 The person on the other side called Rebecca said she was from a SS office, and needed talk to me. -Social Security on a Saturday with a live voice? Well this is extremely suspicious.. so I just did not call them back again. They have not contacted me again.

They left a voicemail saying they're a delivery service, JB Hunt Final Mile, and wanted to schedule delivery of a dishwasher that I had just ordered yesterday. They gave a call-back number. I called and scheduled the delivery !

Even though i have nomo in operation, they seem to be rejected by the robo, simultaneously call with an id of not available, name unavailable, or some local government cities name. have resorted to ignoring the calls.
