   Yes- I had a similar call from a man who referred to himself as a Chief of Police and that he was sitting on my bench warrant right now and he was mumbling to someone in the background to get it signed by the Judge. I told him to kiss my ass! He said we're coming for you. I started singing the bad boys theme and said BOOK EM DANNO! That seemed to piss him off. Along with my laughing at him and telling him I'll be waiting for him! He called my brother and gave him all of my debt information. Pretty sure that's illegal! Dumb ass! They will stoop to nothing!

   I have answered this number once, after numerous missed calls, or it going to voice mail but leaving no message. I'd call back and someone or a machine would pick up, but wouldn't say anything. I don't normally answer calls when I don't know who they are, but I did the one time. They said they were calling from Portfolio Recovery, a debt collector,.

   This is a debt collector or at least I think so. they never leave a message and when I answer no one ever picks up. If you answer it must go into a que for the next operator to pick up and harass you. They robo call and never leave a message. They buy blocks of numbers and keep changing them so you have to continuously block the numbers.

   called from a Washington State number 1st and now it is a Tennessee number. I have already sent them letters asking for proof that I have a debt with them and something that shows my signature. They can't provide a single thing.

    Calls quite often, never leaves messages. Tried calling back and someone picks up, never says anything, just sits on the line. I can hear movement, but nothing else.

    Called looking for my mom.when I said this wasn't her direct number they asked for hers. I asked what for, they said business. I told her I would not be giving her my moms number without further information. If they call again, I'm gonna play it out. Sounds like a fun bbb investigation ;)

    I call them back because I couldn't understand the voicemail message. The man I talked to was very nice and professional. He looked up my number asked if I shared the number with anyone said they must have the wrong number apologized said it happens quite often and said he would remove my number from the system. I'm also a collector if you have had bad experiences you should report the to the BBB and file a complaint with the fair credit reporting agency but if it is your debt dont ignore them it wont just go away. Any real collection agency will work with you to resolve the debt within your financial ability. They don't like calling you anymore then you like getting called. Any payment is better than none.

    This is a junk debt buyer. They aren't representing anyone but their own interests and calling debtors is virtually their only job so your comment makes little sense. Often such debt collectors ARE best ignored. If the company pursues further, FIGHT BACK!
