   FYI I got a call from a polling company @ 800-251-5850. They asked me a million questions, I kept answering trump, Trump, Trump, Then at the end they started asking me if a man who was a successful business man from the mid-west entered the republican race and wanted to shake up Washington and set our country in the right direction would I vote for him, I asked what his name was... she said Ted Strauss. I said no I'm voting for Trump, then she asked if I would consider this man as my 2nd choice, I said no, Trump is my man. Then she asked me if the Nominee was between Strauss and Kasich who would I vote for, I said Hillary. LOL, not on your life but they don't have to know that. Then she asked me would I support the republican nominee no matter who it was, I said no. After hanging up I googled Ted Strauss, funny thing is that he died in September and he was a successful business man from Dallas. It makes me wonder what they (GOP) are up to. I think they are trying to find another so called outsider to run against Trump. I said no I would not support anyone but Trump because if they get the notion not to give him the nomination, I want them to know we won't vote for anyone else. What do you think about this?

   This number has called three times on different days but fortunately, my free blocking service has blocked it immediately after the first ring. I would not have answered it even if it was not blocked since I refuse to answer any unknown callers.

    When you get any kind of unsolicited calls (robo generated or not) and you get a live person from the caller, when they greet you or ask you a question you just respond "What do you lying cork soakers want to scam me out of today?" If they respond or not just keep repeating your opening phrase over and over and over whatever they say or try to respond with. Do this until THEY hang up. If we all respond like this to all unsolicited and illegal calls they will soon get the message. I do this with all unsolicited illegal calls whether if is from Microsoft about computer errors, the IRS or someone wanting to sell back braces or "Rachel" from credit card services. I am on the DO NOT CALL list so that makes them fair game Try it!

    Said he was from Long Island Research, but so far I can't find that with Google. Asked a lot of questions about state and local politics. Engaged in conversation about some issues (like the proposed light rail) which was really weird. I'm not shy about sharing my political opinions though, so unless we start getting more political mailers I'm not sure what other harm can come of it.

    They call multiple times per day. I have a Sentry call blocker and finally added them to the blacklist (I kept forgetting to do so.) Now, it rings once and then hangs up on them. Eventually they'll stop calling.

    Call every couple of days. Night and day. I usually don't pick up calls I don't know. But I am expecting some furniture delivery. So for the last two time, I answer, and they don't talk for 30 seconds and hang up.

    I am still one of the few people out there that has a land line and I keep the ringers turned off, so this way they are not disturbing us. I have caller Id and see who calls, mostly toll free 800 numbers, who never leave a message. My voice mail greeting also says my ringers are turned off because of these type of calls, and we will only return calls we feel is important to us. I notice they do eventually stop calling. If not, I block their number since we get that feature from our phone company. Otherwise I never get calls like these on my cell. I only give out my land line number when asked from businesses, etc, seems to be working so far.

I did *67 to block my VOIP number to call back & had an automated attendant say they are a legitimate surveying company and they are not a telemarketer or subject to the Do Not Call National Registry. For those with Android devices your so much better off in being able to prevent repeat calls. For those with iPhone I recommend using FREE app YouMail to ditch calls. For calls made to Landline, I subscribe to http://nomorobo.com/ The call rang once and the free service endorsed by FTC 2013 award prevented the illegal telemarketing call from being answered by me or by voice mail as a hang-up. Call centers invoice the carriers through monthly tariffs for connecting calls either answered by your voice mail or a human being ... Reason why majority of calls are hang-ups!

    For landlines that cannot use nomorobo (normal phones) try a device like RobocallWall. It blocked this one on my home phone today- so nice.
