The call was from BoA. I logged into my BoA account and there was a transaction with this comment:"A declined transaction is a transaction that was attempted against your account but not approved. If you identify this as a fraudulent transaction, it will be noted on your account but you will not be reimbursed, since the transaction did not post to your account." As a precaution: don't call back to a suspicious number but do log into the account they say was compromised. In this case the call was really fro BoA

they called me and asked for a transaction to a foreign country. didn't want to give them my bank acc data - dont know whether they are phishing for information or if i could trust them. looked them up in the internet and there are many different opinions about them. i think i'm going to call them back to find sth out. did anyone else make other experiences?

They pretend to be Bank of America. Honestly I don't know if they really are. I just doubt they would ask for private information on the telephone ... so be careful

I have been called from this number 1.800 325.6217 today twice. Fact is that there was a fraud on my credit card the same day as I have received the message from BOA that day and I was abroad. The right number of the Fraud Dpt. of the Bank of America is 1.800.383.0618 in the US; international customers please call collect via the international operator at 757.677.4701. I am not sure if this number 8003256217 has anything to do with the Fraud Dept. so better to cal the other numbers as shown above.
