   Don't allow automatic payments to them. They will take out more then agreed upon and state that was the agreement! Get everything in writing or they will go back on what they verbally promise. Bunch of crooks trying to make cash off of people who don't have the cash to fight them back!!

   Scammers that have no official affiliation with your debtors, they only have info like what credit accounts you have and are late on. They have no idea what the balance is or how long it's been. They ask to send them a payment imidiately. I had an unpaid balance of $1400 on one of my cards, they kept going around to make me say the bal. but after almost an hour they said my balance is $4800. Paying these guys will not fix your collections it will still show as unpaid and you will still owe your balance

    these guys (portfolio recovery) are one shade away from being loan sharks. but with a twist. instead of loaning you their own money, they buy old and statue barred debt from others for 10 to 20 cents on a dollar and then do whatever (and I mean whatever) it takes to collect somewhere around 40 to 50 cents on a dollar. they only pay their people if they collect, and bonus if they collect big. so the person on the phone has no incentive to listen to your explanation of any kind. the only reason they're still open is because their lawyers are smarter than the Feds. So if you want to get rid of them, contact your state's district attorney's office.

    Whenever debt collectors call always tell them that this is a new number and even if they ask is this such and such and they have the correct name simply tell them that you are not that person and this is a new number. Then ask them what is this call in regards to?? They will put you on a do not call list and simply hang up. There is no debt.. do not accept any debt at all Into your life.

    Calls everyday 1-3 times. No message left. I don't answer unknown numbers. But, this is excessive harrassment. Would like a lawyer to help me get monetary judgement so they will get fined by all of the people like me and make them stop trying to take advantage of naive people that pay them...

    They call with information from an account which has been closed for 5 years. Called prior creditor "Wells Fargo" and they stated my account was at $0 and nothing due they also confirmed it was closed 5 years ago.
