Called for galpal who has stage 4 cancer, and is on Social Security with Medicare and Medicaid benefits and does not owe anything to anyone. She only has one doctor and all bills are paid for by funding from cancer society. I told them off, and they said they were sorry for bothering. I also informed I'd be blocking their number for calling continuously and at 8:51PM at night.

Scam company. I am a Medical Biller/Coder. Certified by AHIMA. I went to the ER 12/29/17. I got an EOB which I always review that my insurance company paid my bill at 100% in-network cost to my provider. (This means the hospital nor Dr cannot bill me per the agreed up contractual amount). It is ILLEGAL for anyone to bill me differently. The EOB even came with a letter saying "If I get any future bills on this matter, please contact us." (So my insurance company would handle it as they knew I was not to be billed further.
To the hospital & Dr's offices credit - they did not bill me further. Medicredit, however somehow gathered my data & attempted a fake collection attempt on me trying to collect a balance (upon which I called my insurance company to verify to double check) which was actually HIGHER than the original bill for which the ER visit was for, & my insurance company once again verified that my bill was ZERO dollars & that no further action was needed on my part & they would contact Medicredit on my behalf.
WARNING: If you hear from these people, do you due diligence. Call your insurance company, check your EOBs, &/or call a lawyer. These are NOT LEGIT PEOPLE! -
There's an app for that folks! Call block apps abound on Google Play, install, block number, never be bothered again! Works for me!
Nathan Alan replied 2019-08-30 14:55:11YouMail has an app for Android and iPhone, they let you choose customized greetings and create customized greetings, and if you subscribe to their premium service that they charge extra for, you can get your voicemails transcribed and sent by SMS to your phone, and also emailed to you. Emails will play audio files of the voice mail as well, and other conveniences, the prices for Plus plan are for busy non business subscribers, and the Professional plan has many more features for someone who really wants to impress customer callers with professional features. I am a private shut in with few friends who still live in my city, or family still living, and I seldom get phone calls, and don't answer numbers I don't recognize (which has proven problematic I admit), so the free service works fine for me. This number calls me frequently, when I check my phone history this caller has called me at least 15 times since March, all times of the day and night, and the app blocked them all. As Tom mentions, there are other apps, I am only mentioning the one I have tried, I also saw mine on a news broadcast, but I am sure there are others that work also if you don't like this one. I don't know why lawmakers made a law to make a No Call list that only protects phones on Telco land lines, and allows these fraudulent callers to harass mobile phone users without consequences. Maybe we should phone the District Attorneys and governors and mayors of our states, districts, and home towns, EVERY time we get one of these disruptive annoying calls, then eventually they will get tired of having their office handling all of our calls, and draft laws to make placing these calls against the law. Wishful thinking? -
Left message stating they were collecting on a debt to a hospital I've never been to.

Sounds like this company is breaking FDCPA and need to be reported to the Attorney General.
-
calls and leaves no message
-
Continue to call our Facility and leave half msgs. Called the number back in November and talked to a supervisor (Katherine) She advised there are Multiple Call Centers an our Phone number did not show up on their call list. she said she would notify the other call centers and have our number removed.
Guess who call today... hats right once again the people are calling an not leaving a full msg. Very Annoying. Considered harassment per police guidelines. -
calls facility phone and leaves voice Mail, doesn't say who they are trying to make contact with.
called number back and they deny calling our facility. -
If you leave a voicemail, state the name that you're trying to reach. It's suspicious when you leave a vague vm about collecting a debt. I have no debt and a clean report on my credit, so this is a bs call.
-
Calling all the time during pandemic when I don't have a job.
-
Called an quoted random local hospital that I don't recall going to. Asked me for my name, reminded them they called me and to tell me who they were looking for. They quoted HIPPA crap insisting they can't even tell me who their looking for. So I turned on a really loud p0rnographic video for their listening pleasure and walked away from phone. Hasn't called back.
-
I wasn't aware of a bill lingering from Care Now. The Medicredit number however was ridiculous. There is no one answering your callback, just an automated message saying they will call back. I called Care Now directly and took care of the bill.
-
Called about a bill that I DID at one point owe and left a message with the name of the medical office I owed. However, I paid that bill! This is a scam, do not pay these people! Call your original provider or your insurance before you even consider calling this # back.

Call related to No Subject Provided received in Taylor, Texas. Calling with recorded message (robocalls)

Called wanting personal info. and would not say why other than "Calling on behalf of ....... Hospital". We don't owe any hospital money and had no reason to "verify" our info. with a company I do not know. Obvious phishing scam.
-
I received a call today and they pronounced my name incorrectly. Then they asked me to verify if that was me. I stated that it sounds similar to my name but it is not my name. They said that they would call back. They did give the name of their business. Then he said that he could not give me any information about why they were calling until I told them my full name. I told them that it was not me and completed the call. I then called back and asked the name of the company and stated that I had received a phone call from the number. They said that they cannot verify anything until they knew my full name, DOB, and mailing address. I asked if they were seeking to collect debt for medical reasons, they stated yes, and I stated I do not have any medical debt at this time and they said okay. Thank you. I am not sure why they are calling except to go phishing for information. Please make sure not to verify anything with them. They keep saying that they are on a recorded line which does not mean anything. I called them back again and asked them to remove me from their listing and they asked could I provide them a number. They stated yes and I apparently have been removed. We shall see the outcome.
-
Calls about supposed bill for hospital. Sucks for them because my paperwork is cleared and nothing is on my monthly credit report stating otherwise. If you owe anything with drs they are quick to slap it on your credit report.
-
Bill collection co. harassment over non existent hospital bill.
-
They call day and night trying to collect a debt for a hospital I have never been to.
Jeremy replied 2017-05-10 15:06:10Correct but the doctor who worked on you might have had an office in another city and that is where they bill from. -
I have no debt at all and have legal paperwork to prove it. All bills "paid in full" with receipts of "zero balance." This number (800) 823-2318 keeps calling my phone, but I don't answer it. It's harassment and punishable by LAW.
-
Was paid the amount the Hospital asked for over and above what my insurance paid. Would not send copy of charges from the Hospital. Maybe they didn't send hospital the money. Maybe they just kept the money. Probably.
-
Called on my cell. Only 2 people call on my cell without permission, I am not married to you and I do not work for you! So I ask her for her authorization number. She did not know how to handle that. ID10T.
-
they call on an unknown number and ask for someone I don't know. When I said they have the wrong number they act like they can't hear me and tell me they will keep calling back. I got the actual number from my paid ID account and called them back. Then they wanted a full ID on me, worse they told me the full name of the person they where trying to harass. These people are thugs, not bill collectors and need to go to jail. I feel sorry for the person who moved into that persons old home. Get these creatures out of your life asap if they call you. One more word and I would have called the police on them. I right out told them I didn't think they were a real company.
Lucky replied 2016-08-05 19:04:42This is typical for these jerks to continue calling a number even after being told they have the wrong person/#.They went so far as to give me the person's full name, last known address and social security #. They are flat out idiots and likely knowingly breaking some type of law by their collection practices. -
* THEY JUST KEEP CALLING, and CALLLING, and CALLLING, and CALLLLING... And CALLLLLLLING !
And NEVER LEAVE a MESSAGE !
-
I have had this phone number less than 24 hours and have given it to no one else. This is fucking ridiculous.
-
Will not quit calling even after discussing I am not who they are calling for
-
I get called on my cell phone between 4 and 6 times a day. I answered the first time and was told that I owed for medical services. I explained that I was making payments and was told that it must be paid in full. I informed them that that will not be happening. Due to all the scams I refuse to pay anything over the phone to someone that I did not personally call. They never leave a message and I have not received a bill in the mail.
-
I received a call from this number and when I answered I heard someone breathing with talking in the background for about 30 seconds before the person on the other end hung up without responding to me saying "hello". I called back and was answered by a "customer service rep" who got rude with me when I asked to be removed from their list.
-
They called me saying something about Medical first and when i had asked what it was they said to call them back with my Birthdate and Address
-
I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS OFFER TO CONTRACT
and
I DO NOT CONSENT TO THESE PROCEEDINGS -
For medical bills

I agreed with hospital to pay $50 per month until paid in full which I have been paying faithfully. After 1 year this company 18008232318 calls and wants payment in full, and I only owe $83 at this time to pay them off. I will be very disgusted if this goes against my credit rating.
Johndrew replied 2016-06-28 18:05:08This is a scam. Your $50/mo haven't been going to cover your medical bills they've been paying these people to keep calling everyone else -
The have started calling me at work during working hours. They will not provide any information; they just ask for a credit card number for a bill I have never received.
-
Calling for someone I do not know informed that this is not that persons number still calls even with robot dialer.

medicredit, keeps calling regarding a debt at hospital that i payed off the day of surgery. had reciept to prove it and sent proof, they still call several times a day. very aggressive and rude
jones replied 2015-12-28 16:58:24cannot speak clear English, must be calling outside USA...lol -
We got call from this number saying we owed for a surgery in 2012. There was no surgery in 2012. They had wrong birthdate, social security number, and other information.
-
The caller is Medicredit, a medical debts, Bill collector. I do owe medical debt and I make regular monthly payments to the individual businesses to whom I owe. I have no idea who this outfit is, but I do not owe THEM a dime. I will continue to pay down the debt I owe as I am able to.
Since I'm terminal they may all get paid off, or not. If they don't, they are more than welcome to come looking for me, for the balance. See ya on the other side bishes!Anonymous replied 2017-01-12 20:21:37Praying for your comfort and encouragement in spite of your terminal illness. God bless you.

Acts 2:38 "38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." -
called me telling me I owe money for daughter's surgery. They were not able to provide email or fax of the debt details. They had confidential information about the surgery. I then called the hospital and they confirmed that I still had the debt that the caller stated. I am not real happy about the whole process and still not sure if I should pay them at a reduced rate or just the hospital.
MissCee replied 2016-03-28 20:03:01Did the hospital violate any HIPPAA laws by giving them medical information unessential for collection of the medical debt? As a medical employee, I am only allowed to have just enough info to be able to do my job. Nothing else. I would record the calls and see how much information they have. Maybe the hospital will end up paying you.Heckrock replied 2018-06-27 02:22:51Keep in mind recording the calls without notification is illegal in most states & if you say you ARE recording the calls you will most likely be hung up on - or transferred to supervisor who will be much smarter at outtalking you from the situation. This is a scam company with no legitimate debt power. See my comment above. -
Medical debt collection agency. Can be really harassing with their constant calling at all times around the clock.
-
Been getting near daily calls from this number for some months. Never once picked up though. Calls are all over the clock, but they are clearly not taking the hint...so I put them on my auto-reject list a long time ago.
