Contractors beware...Scam!! person texts my place of business claiming he is a home owner wanting the exterior of home painted and would like an estimate. Send pics of home along with address etc. Through examining pics of home I realize home looks newly renovated. I search and find the Realtor for the property. Realtor claims this man is not the owner. I send back an estimate to see where this is going. Caller tells me great he accepts bid and wants to pay by credit card. I then ask if he's owner of property and he asks if I received his email. No I didn't so he resends. He wants to pay me an extra $5000 on credit card to withdraw that amount and put into supposed Realtors bank account as it's the last payment he owes before he owns the home. And wants a promise I won't call Realtor again. Scam... Contractors beware!
