This company has called me 18 times, each of which I have told them they have the wrong number. They told me unless I provided proof of who I am, there isn't anything they can do to help me. Duh - I told Jamie - the first person who hung up on me today - that she is in violation of the FDCPA and has been warned...Who the heck are these ridiculous people?

another new number for this one. they actually identified themselves on answering machine, but no name whom they trying to contact, just canned msg to call a diff 800 number...caller id showed texas call..this company well known for buying junk debt-past SOL, and those discharged in bankruptcy. do not answer, they are known for calling people liars, threatening one with police, and other questionable, illegal tactics.

They have been calling our number repeatedly every day, 7 days a week, once they left a message for my ex-husband of 20 years, wanting to collect money, they even left a message that if I didn't return their calls they would have me arrested. I don't know where he is and don't care. I do not answer or return their calls, I have recently gotten an air horn and blow it into the phone from time to time. Tired of there crap. Leave me alone.

Lazarus hit it RIGHT on the head! This is NOT a legal debt collection agency, they're junk debt buyers who buy charged off debts at a reduced rate and make every attempt to collect the debts at a profit. Every time I've told them I know EXACTLY how their company works, they tell me I'm wrong, and they hang up. Follow Lazarus's suggestions if you want to take their calls. The BEST thing to do is simply use your called ID, and ignore their calls.

Very rude smart mouth lady that will not let you get a word in finally I did like she did and just talked over her louder and louder until was yelling to leave me alone! Idk who she is and this is my legal right to tell her unless she is an attorney do not call my number again as its harrassment! What is a portfolio recovery? Idk but even after yelling profanity into the phone she never took a breath, if you ever answer, regardless of how you explain you just got the number and your not their target, they will never stop calling as they assume were all liars.

They started calling me when I got a new phone number. One time I asked, "Do you ever run a Google check and try to find this person, or do you take this number at face value that it's correct?. They hang up. Another time, I just shouted into the phone, "Get a better job, get a better job!!!? They hang up!!

These people will not give up.They have been calling me for at least 5 yrs maybe..I have not had a credit card in 13 yrs!! They are the rats of the earth & I wish to put a pox on them lol At least they are not calling every day like they did, now its only maybe twice a week , so maybe they will get the hint soon. I do not owe anyone any money . I pride myself in paying all bills on time.

I am getting these calls non stop! I missed the first one and looked the number up and found this site...thank you!! They and all the numbers listed here as PR have been blocked on my phone. If I owed any money I certainly would not deal with the likes of this company. Downright harassment!! WOW!!

Like other companies on here, we got a new number when we switched to Comcast, ever since we get 4-6 calls daily despite telling them we were a business and no one has ever worked here by that name. They truly are ignorant. You'd think they would put a little effort into actually finding who they are looking for instead of calling the same number over and over. I'm glad Comcast logs all calls. Next time they call we have set up a recorder as per our attorney, we will let them know they are being recorded, then ask them one more time to remove our number, when they don't well wait for them to call 10 more times then turn the log over to the attorney and let him collect for us. Maybe if more of us did this they would figure it out!

These people have been warned for the last eight years or so to take me and my husband off of their lists, and yet they laugh and say they'll sue me for nonpayment. But they never tell me what I owe on, just that they will take a check over the phone for the amount owed.

This number calls two or three times a day. A recording states the name of the officer is John Parker from IRS and I or my should return the call immediately. I assume they are looking for money.

We got calls from this number, too. I accidentally answered once and insisted no one by that name lived here (they didn't) and they said they would 'remove my name from their system.' I still get calls, over 6 months later. No wonder people keep changing their phone numbers!

Technically they aren't a debt collection company. They are Junk Debt Buyers. They buy worthless debts after the credit companies charge them off. Then, they proceed to harass the debtors while pretending to be authorized agents of the original creditor (occasionally they even file lawsuits hoping for a judgement of default).

When they call, always try to get the person's name, then, simply tell them you have never heard of the person they are looking for, and, ask them to remove your number from their computer and cease all calls. If the person makes any threats, make sure to tell them that, 1) you have already researched their number and you know they are PRA; and, 2) you are going to report them to FTC for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. If the person STILL insists on making threats, simply hang up. Usually the mere mention of the FDCPA is enough to make them stop calling. -

These jerks INSIST that because I have this phone number, that I am some (alleged) deadbeat that owes them money from years ago. I've only had this number for a year, and I've had HUNDREDS of phone calls from this horrible "debt collector". They call me a liar every time I point that out. I am NOT the person they are looking for and they are harassing me and my family.
