Mom reported Imposters scam with the number 8177175363 as Cost trap
We called AT&T re: a tech issue. Later on a guy named Alex called. Said he was from AT&T/ DirecTV and could set up a tech visit. He had some info from my AT&T account (where he obtained I don’t know). He was also offering a promotion. $70.00 off the monthly bill without a contract obligation but the catch was a one time fee of $149.00 which would be refunded in full after 6 months. I thought the fee would be added to my bill but he asked how I wanted to pay the fee. He also said he would have to call back in two hours with a time and date for a technician visit. Hmmm... Funny thing, another rep from AT&T called about an hour later and when I told her about the conversation with Alex, she said the company did not have any such promotion. She said she had no idea how he got the info on our account and solved the tech issue. The account will be monitored and hopefully these people will be caught.

On March 17, 2022, I got a call from "Brock", who claimed to work for Xfinity Comcast. He offered me a promotion to lower my monthly bill by $50 for two years, but I would have to pay a $99.99 fee. He asked me for my card number, which I thought was strange. I asked him for my Xfinity account number, so I could verify he really works for Xfinity. But, he claimed he could not provide that information over the phone. He gave me this number 817-717-5363 to call if I have questions. This is not the same number he called me from. "Brock" had an Indian accent. DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY INFORMATION
