Yet another call from this La Crescenta VOIP number arrived today, just 6 weeks since the last call on Sept. 26. When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message, just dead space. This is a favorite of robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) who use automated dialers to place calls seeking gullible schmucks to rip off.
According to several posters, the perpetrator is Air Solutions, a scam HVAC contractor who will pretend to have an established business relationship by having previously serviced your air conditioning -- even if you don't have air conditioning!
Folks, these scam artists have no services to offer. Instead, they specialize in wallettechtomy -- surgical removal of the wallet. Hold on tightly to yours by refusing to answer calls from unknown numbers such as (818) 275-6825.
