Started calling my cell recently, even though it is clearly listed on all State and Federal do not call lists. Would love to sue for the $10K they owe me for each violation of those lists, if I could get an owner name or class-action suit for violations of same.

i answered call, since it is a local area code and i thought it might be a co-worker. it was a recorded message about a 4 question survey that asked about whether i thought pot should be legalized. there was no identification about who was conducting the survey. then it tried to connect me to another # so they could get my info about a 'free cruise' i'd won. I hung up at that point. now another # has been calling me: 281-864-1294 which is also a local area code for me. I've blacklisted it.

I won a cruise to the bahamas. Press 1 to accept and take the scientific survey. press 9 to be removed from our list. How much bad can come from pressing 1 or 9? What can they possibly do with that? I I don't really know. but I don't click on websites I don't trust. it makes sense not to click on phone calls I don't trust. For all I know pressing one gives them permission to download all your phone's memory.

This number keeps calling my cell phone. The ID simply says "Texas.". I have never answered it, although they have called me 3 times so far in the past month. grrrr. When I call back, a recording says "the number you are calling does not have a voicemail set up please try your call later."

OK - the very NEXT DAY after I entered my cell phone in a required slot for a GM automobile financing loan on-line, this number started calling. I was really reluctant to enter my phone number to GM financing, but I really needed to in order to get contacted for the car loan. I will try to find a way around this the next time I am asked to enter my phone number in an information query. I blame the financing company as much as the damn telemarketer for either giving or selling my phone number to them....
