Caller claims SSN was stolen and being used along the Texas Mexico Border. Unfortunately, this scumbag convinced my 83-yr old mother to drive to Walmart and purchase two $500 gift cards and then read the numbers to him over the phone. He wanted 4 $500 cards, but the clerk would only sell her two and she told my mom to hang up and that it was a scam. I wish she would have called her manager over. Mom is out $1K.
He's been turned into the FTC because I am able to use the info from AT&T to track the number even if he conceals/changes his called ID. SCUMBAG low-life MF's.
