I called the number on back of my card, instead of the 844 number they left since I had recently filed a fraud case. Chase told me they did call and transferred me to their disputes dept. I see a lot of comments saying it's a scam. Just be smart and call the number on your card.

she said there was strange activity on my card and she wanted to know if I used it somewhere, I said I didn't. She wanted to ask more questions but I didn't trust her and said I would check my account and let chase know. nothing strange on my account when I checked.

This number called me, claimed to be Chase Fraud department and asked to verify that I physically had my card. Did not ask for any personal info. Due to the caller being somewhat unprofessional I hung up and immediately dialed the number on the back of my card. They told me that they did have on record that I had been contacted by their fraud department. Asked if they cold verify the number and was told they have too many numbers for him to look up. Going to watch my account very closely just in case and may even call back in a few hours to verify again that it was them. The caller was just too nervous and unprofessional sounding.

Claimed to be Chase Card Services, calls but does not leave a message. When you call back you encounter an automated request for either your social security or credit card number. I do not have an account with Chase, I called Chase's customer service whcih verified they have no association with this number.

I've had recent issues with fraud on my Chase CC. This number called, but I called the number provided on the back of my card. I asked the rep if he could tell me if Chase attempted to call me and, if so, what number would have shown up on my caller ID. The rep told me the exact time they called and that it was from their Fraud department, so it would be the 847 number which was indeed the number that called. So as far as I know, the 847 is a legit Chase/Fraud department number.
I've heard that tech-savvy scammers can make a legit phone number appear when they call you, so I'd still recommend calling the Chase number on the back of your card and have them patch you to their Fraud department; however, I'd also say if you get this 847 number calling you, it's probably worth calling up Chase to see what the potential issue may be.Concerned Citizen replied 4/26/17, 5:24 PMI called Chase and they stated they have no record of and are not associated with this number. I was ignoring this call because everyone on here was saying it was spam/phishing etc. but my Chase pymt hadn't gone through because I hung up prior to getting confirmation # and Chase rep told me I need to listen to confirmation # for payment to go through. So if you're an honest bill paying customer like I am, I don't consider this Spam.

This number clearly is a scam - it is registered to a "person" named "Morgan Chase" - which is NOT a bank!! This Marie isprobably part of the scam. -

Calls anywhere from 3-5 times a day, sometimes even after the allowed call hours. Once as late as 11pm. Leaves no message. I never answer calls I don't know. Research shows FRAUD mimicking Chase Bank Card Services. I blocked them but they still call.

They've called me three days in a row. Each time, I let it go to voicemail, but they have not left a message. Today, I called back and got a recording saying they are "Chase Cardholder Services", and asking me to key in my full 16-digit card number OR my full 9-digit social security number. These are obviously scammers phishing for personal information.

Company called on behalf of 'Chase fraud services'. Since I had no chase account they wanted to verify personal information. I did not provide but instead called chase direct at their 800 number. No record of me in the system. Their Fraud department said it was most likely a scam or phishing call.

They called me every other day, sometimes 5 days apart between calls. On the 8th time they called, I was tired of recieving the call when they never even left me a message. I answered, rather politely might I add, and found myself listening to a woman in a heavy, possibly french accent, asking after a woman named Katie Michales (that may or may not have been the name, I don't really remember). I apologized to the woman and told that I believed she had the wrong number, since that's not my name, and she in turn apologized to me for calling and said she'd take my number off the calling list. As of right now, they have yet to call again. I don't necessarily trust them since I have no idea how they got my number, but if you answer and tell them that you're sorry but they must have the wrong number (no need to mention your name), they seem understanding enough, never calling again.

I have received a number of calls at my office line for the last year, I answer and they hang up majority of the time. The other day I didn't say hello and the woman on the other line with a very thick accent was speaking with a coworker in another language. I kept line open and she eventually hung up. I then blocked the number they were calling me on 847-426-9209. so today they started calling me via 847-426-9203

This number just called me 10 minutes ago. I googled it so suspected a scam. I called back and it's says "Chase Card Services" The computer voice took 2 min to give me an option other than giving my card number. Some clown girl answered (American) and wouldn't tell why she called unless I gave my name and account #. I started to mess with her and kept asking odd questions. She has been trolled before as she is a scam. I hung up...has yet to call back.

This is definitely a trustworthy number. It is connected, in our case, to the dispute dept. at Chase. Do not block if you have a Chase Account.

This was Chase. I forgot to pay my bill. Despite all of the the negative comments is legit call. I had looked it up after I receive the first call, then I noticed ahead and paid my bill and paid it online. When they call back they told me my bills were current, I asked them to get rid of the late payment fee as a courtesy which they did.

The man called, asked for me (just by my first name) and began telling me that he has been asked to call me to find out about my transactions... R u serious?! Who does this in our time?! With spoofing, those thieves can call u from ANY number and pretend to be a president of the United States...
