Steve reported CRA with the number 8554152112 as Telemarketer
Received a number from this number with what sounds like a by a female voice who says "Hi, this is to inform you that a lawsuit has been initiated by the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency)..." at which point I hung up, as the CRA does not use the phone to initiate any investigations or for legal/tax issues. The voice sounded like a recording and she did not confirm who she was speaking with or identify herself by name or position. The CRA has issued warning about such scammers who seek to obtain money from their victims as law enforcement on its way. I called this number back and a woman answered the phone as "Canada Revenue Agency". These scammers are seeking money or seek to steal personal information. Best solution is to invest in a telephone blocking device which Black Lists and hangs up on the scammers on the first ring. These devices are sold on eBay and by Amazon.
