This number and MANY others--Known to FTC and FCC to be ILLEGAL AND FRAUDULENT SCAM calling themselves Liberty Auto, Liberty Automotive, and Liberty Auto Protection. Because they are already illegal, they do not follow the telemarketing rule that they have to put you on a do-not-call list if you ask. They tell you your auto warranty is about to run out and offer to sell you insurance. Including people who don't own a car, per FTC. Or in my case a 1993 vehicle. This is a very well known scam reported with the Federal Trade Commission and Federal Communications Commission. If you want to try doing something, get on the FCC website and file a complaint including all the phone numbers they have called you from.
Your phone service provider can block at least some of the numbers they are calling you from if you ask, but because they use so many numbers, you will not be able to get rid of them that way.
Make sure you sign up your own number on the federal do-not-call list. Finally, call the Federal Trade Commission at 877-392-4357 and file a complaint. If enough people complain, this company will be shut down at least for a short time until they resurface under some other name.
The other thing you can do if you have some spare time is waste their time chit-chatting at them about the weather etc. until they finally hang up on you. If you can't stop the scammer messing with you, may as well mess with him! Every time they call me now, I thank them effusively for giving me another number to report to the FTC; ask them how they like working for scum, ask how they like being scum, ask if they get paid more than minimum wage to be a ****, that kind of thing. They don't like that. It gives me a little entertainment to offset the annoyance of their constant calls.
Never give them your name or any other information! If you start recognizing their incoming calls, tell them they have the wrong number, that person doesn't live there. After a while you will probably be able to pick out their incoming calls and not answer at all, and eventually they will give up. (but be warned, not for a VERY long time) -

I received a call from Daniel Hinton indicating they are the only warranty company that has direct billing with BMW and that I could receive this service for protection that would cover my vehicle. After pulling the company info online and noticing the many complaints, I explained that I need to research the company a little more. Daniel then tried to sell me on the A+ rating they have with the BBB, however there are also about 89 complaints and more other concerns expressed on line. I again explained that I will hold on getting this warranty until I complete my research and Daniel began to get extremely rude with me about how long will it take for me to research. If sales/customer service is treating potential customers this way then, I can only imagine what the service will be like upon needing to use it. No thank you!!!! I am now beginning to believe they are a scam!!!!!

This company called me about an extension for my daughters car.. After I explained to them that I have bone cancer and that I am on a fixed income; that I could not afford it at this time.. They put three different men on the phone to get me to do it.. Not caring that I do not have the money. One man even told met his wife does not yell at him so I just hung up.. This company does not care about anything but money, and they do not care about people. Has anyone else dealt with this.. Take care and God Bless.

Hated forcing sales calls and listening to the closers press a sale on someone....and Was so paranoid of being fired. Lol.

I don't have this phone # on my documents, but this company preys on the elderly. In an aggressive telephone sales pitch, they convinced a 91 yr old lady who doesn't drive anymore that she needed their warranty. They made it very difficult to cancel the policy by having us go through multiple steps, extending the process. The people you have to talk to in NJ are EXTREMELY rude. They won't let you explain, will talk loudly over you and then claim you are yelling at them when you are not. STAY AWAY from this company. They will take you for a cleaning. Very rude, mean, heartless people preying on the elderly.

Continue to receive calls from Liberty Auto Protection. During one of the calls I answered the phone and the male caller kept insisting my auto protection was expiring. Although they knew most of my info, they did not know that I had a lease which seemed fishy. The kept trying to sell me extended warranty on a lease which I am due to give back in a year. The cost would have been $3318 and they kept saying I can transfer warranty to a new car. I asked what if I choose not to get another vehicle from Nissan, they stated the funds would be prorated. When I stated that I needed to speak to my husband prior to making decision the caller became rude. I hung up, called my dealer (salesman) who indicated it was a scam that all leases have warranty until the end of the lease. He indicated that they do not give buyer info to 3rd party services but if the buyer takes car for service at other body shops, that would be the place who sells our info.

Call from Liberty Automotive Protection informing me how important it is for me to call back immediately about one of my vehicles, specific one not identified. Just one of those extended service contract companies out of Missouri trying to find people to pay for some extended service contract which will never, ever be a good investment. Best avoided, does anyone recall Rusty Wallace and US Fidelis.

When this man called and left a message on my machine, it was very rushed and his voice was very threatening. He didn't even repeat the information so this to me was fishy. Don't give out your info to these people!! scammers

I've gotten numerous calls in the past 6 months regarding an expired warranty for a car I haven't owned for several years. Today's call appeared on my caller ID as 610-676-1000 which must be spoofed since I know the firm to whom that number belongs. These people call me from all over the globe it seems. And they told me they have an excellent rating with the BBB. Unbelievable!
